It's weird how everyone forgets the garbage fights Yoel has put on.

Coker is a long game guy. There's no long game on Yoel in fight terms. I don't even know if there is a short game either.

Maybe there's an ultra boring dance off with Machida, but otherwise I don't know. 2 fights to the belt he wins the belt he's close to or is 45. Is that good for your organization?

I love Yoel, but from an investment stand point I can see why they are hesitant.

especially PFL, who the fuck do they have at MW? and Mouse vs Yoel would be huge for Bellator, not buying this BS.

PFL removed their MW division's tournament when they added WLW
So he should fight at LHW I guess

bellator won't sign him because they aware romero can possibly kill his opponents

This is insane. You’ll sign Corey Anderson but not YOEL ROMERO

Scott Coker is an idiot
Don't ya need to know what his asking price is first?
Lol, sherdog...is normal.

Imagine Yoel in BKFC...

I hate when people bring up records. They mean nothing without context. All of those losses were razor close decisions against some of the best fighters in the world, all 3 of those guys would have Corey Anderson eating through a straw for weeks.

Records matter in the context of renewing contracts.

And if you think Whittaker, a guy that spent half his career at 170 pounds could beat a guy that walks around at about 240 pounds and fight night is around 230 you are clueless. Anderson would wipe the floor with Whittaker and Costa. Weight classes exist for a reason. Israel could probably outmaneuver him but brawling only works if you have a size and strength advantage and Anderson is a huge LHW.

Maybe Yoel and Andy should seek out the bozo that signed nearly 50 year old 0-0 Rookie Hershel Walker to a contract, who was that again...?
<{you!}>

Ariel in full shill mode. "Bellator doesn't want UFC's castoffs." Meanwhile 3 of their champions (and until just recently, a double champ) are all UFC castoffs.

Look at how the media is trying to manipulate fighters' value now.

It may have worked with Anderson getting blackballed, but not with Yoel.
Yeah ESPN is basically a propaganda mouthpiece for sports league owners; it's pretty wild.

kinda sucks for some of these guys. they got paid a lot, lost a few in their last couple, so they are kinda getting priced out. their name isnt THAT big to justify the pay.. im not really talking anderson silva here, but guys like romeo , yea

Negotiating tactic. Yoel is everything that Bellator looks for in a fighter.

They are looking for fighters who seems to be entertaining but not actually engage in combat at all?

If that's the case there must be something else going on we don't know about.
He might have pissed hot and is serving a 2 year suspension. USADA and UFC don't release hot test results now, so I can see why the UFC didn't want to wait 2 years for a then 46 year old to fight. Or why other big orgs don't want to invest in that.

It's the only thing I can think of - he failed a test and no one wants to sign a guy two years in advance of when he can legally be sanctioned to fight...at 46 years old.

If it's not an undisclosed suspension, it would be criminal to never see Moose and Yoel go at it. That would be Bellator's biggest fight to date.

Lol.

Coker is definitely not long game. He doesn’t even know what direction he wants a Bellator and it’s fighters to go. He’s a horrible promoter & president for a company.

Bellator just recently signed a resigned a bunch of no names on the cheap. Thats the model right now.

Bellator should do it and feed him some cans for the highlight reel before he’s too old.

Bullshit. This is just some lowball tactic.

Agreed.

Also, if the UFC is cutting dozens of fighters in the coming weeks (as Dana recently announced), then I imagine that other orgs might prefer to wait and see who becomes available before committing $$$ to Yoel.
