Love these anti-Bellator Zuffa Zombie stealth posts.
Keep up the good work.
Fail. ZZ's like the change cause relations between Coker and Dana are much more friendly then with Bjorn which equals quality talent coming out of Bellator and moving to UFC much more easily. Which avoids situations like Alvarez and Askren.
Not to mention people can't grasp that mma can not survive on mainstream broadcasting by being a pure sports organization. The drama, fun fights, and old legends are the only way for them to stay afloat. Casuals make up much more viewership then hardcores, which is why the current business moves and match ups seem to cater to casuals then more hardcore sports fans.
Personally I liked the professional sport tournament format that Bellator had but the ratings showed that its not what the fans wanted. Mainstream broadcasting is its own beast and sadly sports like this have to change.
Quick example. Dodgeball use to be shown on one of the obscure espn channels, well viewership went to shit so they started leagues with dodgeball on trampolines which sparked major interest. Now you never see traditional "pro" dodgeball tournaments, its all trampoline acrobatic dodgeball shit. Weird example but any smaller sport is in risk of changing their core sport to cater to casuals who wouldn't view without the extra excitement, this is the sad world of broadcasting.
Boom, bubble, pop. Thats all she wrote.
