Surprised Smith wasn't able to do more damage or at least get the submission on the ground... She focused on her grappling for this fight, when she is known for her high output strikes.

Smart by Smith, but it sucks for the ITD bet. Good thing I bet her ML to cover my ITD bet.

Leslie Smith is a better version of Amanda Bell. Bell is also known for having a weak chin, but it wasn't tested in this fight because Smith wanted to grapple.

I am very familiar with both fighters, so I felt good about this specific match-up.

I'm very familiar with both fighters, too. I made a decent amount of money betting Blencowe at small plus odds against Smith and wish I had bet even more. Bell is terrible and yes, her chin is made of glass.

That being said, Smith used to win fights despite dreadful technique by zombieng forward and throwing strikes.

At 145, she isn't nearly powerful enough to consistently hurt opponents doing that (Smith-Kavanagh was a terrible robbery; the Irishwoman won all 3 rounds), and in her late 30s, her cardio is much worse and she is far less active in coming forward.

Bell's own terrible technique and glass chin scared me off a bet, but -240 is a ridiculous amount of juice for a very mediocre WMMA fighter.

It ended up being, very, very close, and I can totally see judges scoring it for Bell 29-28.
 
very concerned with polizzi's energy for next 2 rounds, hope he can land takedown quickly and just lay on top.

I put 2u and am mad I didn't put more. Thought live betting was an option ahead of time otherwise I'd have done things differently for some fights.

I seen him gass on regionals and have no headmovement, but Carvalhios flaws were way worse.
