Weird story, I ended up next to Sergio Pettis on a flight last year. Super nice guy. I didn’t tell him I was a fan till the flight landed, cuz that’d be weird. We both crashed out on the flight. So I don’t normally tell people I slept with Sergio Pettis, but it is technically true....

Fighters are generally very chill when in public. About 4 years ago I saw Yushin Okami in SeaTac, said hi, told my wife that he was a big name. Wife told the waitress then suddenly his dinner was ruined by staff swarming him. Years before I saw Lodune Sincaid (shortly after he lost to Jason Miller) on a flight. I did the same as you and waited until the end of the flight to chat. I mentioned that he fought a great fight with Mayhem and he started apologizing profusely and being really humble -- like, please don't stop being a fan I promise to do better next time. It really made an impression on me. At the baggage claim his wife was very talkative, and happy that he was recognized! But you couldn't meet a more humble guy.
