Bellator just doesn't have that mainstream fight feel that the UFC does. Not a single person I know, knows what a "Bellator" is but I have met many that once I bring up the UFC they will ask me questions about the fighters, when's the next event, etc.
Sometimes I'll ask hey have you seen MVP, The Pitbull brothers, Joe Warren, etc fight and they look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language.
They just aren't building themselves well as a brand and yeah they're getting better ratings under Coker and all but the fights except for a select few have been pretty mediocre. People were excited when Coker came along and wanted Bjorn out but I legitimately think Bjorn built the brand better and brought in the better prospects and made the fights feel big for they're organization.
Just my take on the Coker Era of Bellator. I really do hope he can make it more successful because it's always better for there to be competition and for there to be another place for fighters to go.
EDIT: And obviously this is just one event and I may have just rambled but so be it.
