I actually like Belal even though I wanted Burns to win, but to say Belal would easily beat Colby (whom I hate) is just disingenuous.

I think Belal could win, but there won't be anything easy about it.

As much as I hate that prick Colby he has proven to have that dog in him.
Even after getting his jaw cracked, he kept coming.

Only person I ever seen beat him easily is Alves.

I don’t dismiss Belal and haven’t for a while. But if 100% healthy there are a few fighters I’d pick to beat him.

Edwards, Colby, Shavkat.. I picked Burns, but we don’t know for sure who wins if both are healthy. Usman would probably beat Belal as well. But I’m less sure of that than the first 3 names above.

Both Usman, and Colby can wrestle and have 5 round cardio. But I’m not 100% sure of Usman’s mental state since losing both recent fights to Edwards. There’s also Usman’s knees. How bad are they really? Usman calling out Borz seems pretty hollow considering Borz is apparently not fighting at WW again.

Just like saying he had wanted to fight Jan for the LHW belt AFTER Jan lost it. I have to see Usman fight a legit top 5 WW to see if he bounces back or is indeed on the decline. The first loss to Edwards was one thing. He got caught, which can happen to the best of them. But he flat out lost the trilogy fight.

I’d pick Edwards to beat Belal. And I don’t see why Shavkat wouldn’t beat him.

And he’s going to be sitting out for a year or possibly longer until he fights Edwards, or Colby.

So, with what I said about Edwards, and Colby. That means he won’t be the WW champion, imo. When he gets his DESERVED TS, and loses. He probably won’t ever get a second one. And could conceivably get cut. But, I wouldn’t cut him. Even if most people don’t like his style. He’s pretty active compared to a lot of the top 15 ranked WW. It seems like most of them are fighting about once per year, for the last few years.
