Belal Muhammad makes a good argument.

Belal has had 18 fights in the UFC by GSPs 18th fight he defended his title for a 6th time and broke the division record for most consecutive title defences

Instead delusional (ad undeserving) Colby gets one. Awesome.
Colby doesn't deserve one for sure. WW sucks atm. Looking forwward to see if Shavkat

Colby...ugh. WW blows but really looking forward to Shavkat. Hopefully he can save us.

Burns was fighting Belal injured, Wonderboy was past his prime, Luque meh, Brady meh
So easy to meh anyone's resume like that. WTF has Colby done on his resume to deserve a 4th title shot? he doesn't have a a single fight against anyone in the UFC top 15 that isn't named Usman and he lost to him twice. He literally has a blank resume when it comes to wins over ranked contenders.

He has a better resume than Colby, so he has that going for him. If Colby thinks he is GOAT, then Belal is Goat's Daddy.

Nah. Belal already has more UFC losses than GSP does and he hasn't even won a belt yet.

To even be in the conversation he would need to beat Leon for the belt, defend it a few times and avenge his loss to Geoff Neal.

People hate him just because he’s a Muslim and this clouds their judgement.

There is no one in WW more deserving of a title shot than Belal. Even Usman had an easier road to championship.

Every win brings him closer to GOAT.

But, if I have Usman on my resume, Gilbert Burns, ‘Wonderboy,’ Luque, undefeated Sean Brady, which I think will pay dividends once Sean Brady comes back and fights, I’m going to be considered the GOAT of the welterweights without even fighting for the belt”.

Not a huge fan but he makes some good points
I would argue "if I had Usman on my resume" meaning if he beat Usman already he could try and make an argument for number 2. Beating Usman now who might not be in his prime anymore doesn't get him to GOAT status and probably not even number 2. He's making a statement but a very poor argument.

Usman, Burns, Wonderboy, and Maia are old, I thought we weren't counting old guys anymore??

He’s a solid fighter and he probably deserves a title shot, probably has a decent chance of capturing the belt at some point even, but he’ll never be in GOAT discussions which is what’s laughable about this topic

BS, my favorite fighter is Khabib I love Islam as well so I don’t have a problem with Muslims. I don’t get excited about Bella’s fights and it has nothing to do with his beliefs.

I was going to post a thread about this interview earlier because I knew sherdog would react this way, but I got lazy.

Like I always say, 'if you ain't got haters, you aint poppin!'

He had 4 rounds against an injured Burns and couldn't do any significant dmg
