masvidal was gifted title shots. Belal went through fire to get to the championship against all odds and backed it up. Masvidal has nothing on Belal.

I disagree Masvidal was a veteran of the sport and always ready to fight anyone. He knocked out Till when he wasnt a complete joke yet and well that Askren KO. I agree that he got handed a dumb second title shot but it is that time I am referring to when I said he became unlikeable. Getting high on your supply is the problem. Edwards got shitted on as well even though he was winning fight and even was the better fighter in the Usman rematch. He then became high on his hype tho and became unlikeable in the process.

being a veteran of the sport doesn't give you any privileges to earn a title shot. He didn't deserve a title shot. He was 3-2 in last 5 coming into a gifted title shot, he was a career journeyman, and a 3 fight winning streak compared to Belal's 9 is worlds apart. By that logic, Nate Diaz should have gotten a title shot as well.
