Being KSW middleweight champion must not mean much.

When Mamed Khalidov and Tomasz Drwal ar being described as the two best middlewights from Poland.

I know Materla is friends with Mamed but it seems like they just match Materla with fighters Mamed has already beaten.

Thoughts?

Yup, they should try to put one of them in LHW division
Mamed in the ME withouth a belt in line is useless

Yep pretty much. Everyone knows Mamed is the real MW champ.

I think he should move up again too, but they might be getting that title ready for Tomasz Narkun.

I understand why KSW wants Materla as MW champ, they know Mamed is already a star so why not try and make Materla a star by letting him be MW champ.

I'd rathe Materla lose and see Mamed be the champ though, he's the best MW in the org.

First fight with Sakurai was in lhw so i doubt Mamed will risk changing his weight again. This belt is more of an issue for Materla then Khalidov, he is a paper champ and he can change it anytime he wants by fighting with Mamed.

lol move up? Khalidov said that his natural weight now is 90-91 kilos which is around 200 lbs.

And about KSW belts, no one gives a f. KSW is not a regular federation like UFC, is more of a MMA event that takes place 4 times a year, which means there are only 36 bouts a year, and with the amount of polish fighters they promote, theres no way that someone fights more than two times a year that leads to champions fighting non title fights, no real ladders, no logical matchmaking. It's just how things work.

And about Materla, he got beat up standing both by Jay Silva and Kendall Grove, layed and prayed for a controversial decisions, his just a paper champ. If Drwal wins i assume he will face Materla next, and sort this belt thing out, but then again as I explain above no one really cares besides polish MMA media and hardcore fans.
