I wouldnt worry about it. Theyre probably just upset about foreigners stealing their women and can differentiate that from a guide. I holidayed in China bout three years ago and everyone was very nice. Always wise to keep your wits about you regardless of where ya are.

Its a weird place in that the one child policy caused a drastic increase in the male population due to couples not wanting daughters. The ratio is now skewed like 2/3 female/male (not sure of actual number but its lopsided). Id be pretty bitter too but not enough to practice Americas game.

I was going to say something about this. They should be going after their buddies' parents for not having daughters for them to date/bone causing this Chinese sausage fest.

I just got back from Beijing. Was there for a month...Didn't get into any trouble like that... Sanlitun is the best place to buy weed and has loads of tourist bars and best nightlife, one is the area around the lake where all the best restaurants are and people take their dates, and the item one is in the university area.

It's all bullshit, you'll be fine.
 
I doubt you'll have a problem. in my experience the police in China don't fuck around. These gangs are playing with fire. Gov't doesn't like negative news about China

Justice/punishment is swift and brutal in China, and they send bill for the bullet to the family of the perp.
