You notice how its always 2 weeks out from the fight.....ALWAYS. Everytime someone becomes champ they scratch and crawl for as long as they can to hold the belt. Just like clockwork 2 weeks out, injury.

-TJ dillashaw never had an injury...boom gets the belt, injured.

-RDA , hurt foot...2 weeks out. pulled.

-Jose on the first pullout.

-Cain...massive pullouts, lost track of how many times. 2 weeks.

-Werdum then pulls out 2 weeks, injured.

-Lawler with this thumb injury vs condit.

-Weidman....never had an injury. Facing Vitor. injured rib.

-Cruz, don't even get me started.

-Kabib is not a champ but he cant even make it back. I'm skeptical of his upcoming bout even.

What is causing this?

Does this high level of the game have more mental anguish/stress and therefore weakens the body?
Are these people legitimately all getting injured at the 2 week mark for some reason?
Are they subconsciously injuring themselves in fear, or purposefully trying to remain champion?
Are these guys just straight up scared?
What is going on here?

I bet DC's injury is his knees that hes had 1000x surgeries on. /facepalm. Are these guys doing back-suplexes on concrete floors and swinging nunchucks at each others kneecaps? I mean wtf??? How can this training be more difficult than NFL where you have 350 lbs linebackers dirtnapping your ass repeatedly?

I really wanted to see this fight...but we have such trials and tribulations getting to these championship bouts for some mysterious reason, this is probably a huge reason why the rumors of the UFC being up for sale is true.
This phenomenon of injuries which directly affects ticket sales and reputation of the organization isn't going away, in fact...with the increasing buildup of these fights and the pressure put on these fighters, I see the problem inceasing.

You wont see Gastelum pulling out of no Hendricks fight. Is Gastelum a impervious god? No.

Is Mcgregor the only champion who can even make it to the octagon?

This is a huge problem that that ufc has on their hands.

Mighty Mouse gets low buyrates, but he must have saved the company tons just by preventing cards from being cancelled.

How do you think they going to save this card? ...its going from 1mil to 150,000. can you fathom how one guy can cost a company that much money. lol crazy. I know guys get injured but theres got to be some kinda system to fix this for championship bouts.

Champions don't want to lose their meal tickets just because of an injury. If they lose they want to lose because they got beat at 100%. Champions maximize their earning potential.

Contenders know if they turn a fight down they might not get a second chance. They have to fight hurt or not and make the best of the situation and hope it plays out in their favour.

Even if the buyrate drops to 150,000, it's better then them straight up cancelling the event like 151 and 176.

Unless you're Mighty Mouse.
he's a true champion .
Always willing to fight whom ever the UFC puts in front of him
will still try to finish a fight in the final round when he is dominating the fight
Always looking to get better and better each fight
Exciting fighter IMO , what more could you want in a champ

Weidman was a 1 year off because on an injury after the Munoz fight so yeah no.
You guys probably never left your computers to do sports and think you can talk about it like you understand it.
I played football(the real one) and now i train Muay Thai and i don`t even train 10% what those guys train in world class level MMA and sometimes i come home all kinds of fucked up, now imagine those guys.
You and everybody here needs to understand that this is a brutal sport and shit like this happens, yeah it`s unfortunate but trying to say that they injured themselves on porpuse because they don`t want to lose the belt is just plain stupid.

UFC treats them like crap, maybe thats why.

Champs and ex champs get so disrespected, they cant bare to lose.

Just the next casualty of AKA training. Who's next, Luke I think

Weidman had an injury going into the maia fight and lawler's thumb injury happened in highschool but it got worst over time

Or training at AKA must be really unhealthy.

Weidman never had an injury before Vitor? He pulled out of Machida fight scheduled for UFC-173 with a knee injury too.

Weidman actually pulled out of fighting Vitor twice, from both UFC-181 and UFC-184, before they finally met at UFC-187. Dude averaged almost a pull-out per defense. Made Aldo look bullet proof in comparison.

But he had also been injured before he was champ. He pulled out of Tim Boetsch fight scheduled for UFC-155.

Conor should be stripped and all these "injured" champs should get to keep the belt, right sherdog?

I guess the rumors of seeing DC limping around a week or so ago were true. He's injured. Next is Khabib. Lol. Such a joke.
