You notice how its always 2 weeks out from the fight.....ALWAYS. Everytime someone becomes champ they scratch and crawl for as long as they can to hold the belt. Just like clockwork 2 weeks out, injury.
-TJ dillashaw never had an injury...boom gets the belt, injured.
-RDA , hurt foot...2 weeks out. pulled.
-Jose on the first pullout.
-Cain...massive pullouts, lost track of how many times. 2 weeks.
-Werdum then pulls out 2 weeks, injured.
-Lawler with this thumb injury vs condit.
-Weidman....never had an injury. Facing Vitor. injured rib.
-Cruz, don't even get me started.
-Kabib is not a champ but he cant even make it back. I'm skeptical of his upcoming bout even.
What is causing this?
Does this high level of the game have more mental anguish/stress and therefore weakens the body?
Are these people legitimately all getting injured at the 2 week mark for some reason?
Are they subconsciously injuring themselves in fear, or purposefully trying to remain champion?
Are these guys just straight up scared?
What is going on here?
I bet DC's injury is his knees that hes had 1000x surgeries on. /facepalm. Are these guys doing back-suplexes on concrete floors and swinging nunchucks at each others kneecaps? I mean wtf??? How can this training be more difficult than NFL where you have 350 lbs linebackers dirtnapping your ass repeatedly?
I really wanted to see this fight...but we have such trials and tribulations getting to these championship bouts for some mysterious reason, this is probably a huge reason why the rumors of the UFC being up for sale is true.
This phenomenon of injuries which directly affects ticket sales and reputation of the organization isn't going away, in fact...with the increasing buildup of these fights and the pressure put on these fighters, I see the problem inceasing.
You wont see Gastelum pulling out of no Hendricks fight. Is Gastelum a impervious god? No.
Is Mcgregor the only champion who can even make it to the octagon?
This is a huge problem that that ufc has on their hands.
