Beans and Rice...

Any Spanish or south american people here? I wanna start eating beans and rice cause I frickin love it...

What is the traditional kind of rice and beans to use? Jasmine rice? Black beans? etc....

I make my refried beans in a crock pot. Can't be beat, imo. I think Jasmine rice is the best but only buy it if I'm making some curry related dish. If you also want a heart attack than I recommend some greasy rice. So good.

I like beans and rice but am not a Spaniard or Latino. There's different kinds to use depending on what dish, red beans and rice is good with short grain white rice IMHO, moros y Cristianos uses white rice and black beans, I put beans in my dirty rice too but I like to use brown rice for that.
