I believe Baby Jay, when he was around 28-29 years old would have destroyed Conor in his current prime.

Penn had a chin to take shots from much bigger men, was fast and could strangle Conor if the fight went to the ground.

As a matter of fact, it probably wouldn't have even been a close contest.

Both in their prime, BJ would have his way with Conor.

I'd have to go with Bj due to well roundedness. Not just in his physique, i mean his skills.

Is this Marinovich BJ Penn, if so, then he rapes Conor.

What did Conor just lose by? RNC....? Yeah, I'd take Baby J. The striking would have been fun to watch though.

Prime Penn is a horrible match up for Conor. Could take his shots land his own and decimate him on the ground if it went there.

BJ, skill/mental/physical advantage. Cardio is a toss up.

Is this a serious thread?

We just saw what conor can/cant do on the ground.

Sherdog never stops amazing me.

Penn would have smashed Conor with no problem at all. Penn had better striking and better grappling. It would be easy 1st round win for Penn.

It's hard to pick against a PRIME BJ. At least for me it is. The BJ Penn of old was pretty damn amazing.

Penn would have made him his Joe Stevenson. No worry about leg kicks, negligible power, had a better chin, would have cut through his guard like butter.

Penn would have beat his ass.

No question. B.J. Penn ... I would bet on current day Penn if he comes in with the same game plan as he did vs. Fitch. I been saying it allot ... anyone that can get Conor down has a good chance in beating him.

B.J. was lobbying to step in and fight Conor .. how crazy would it of been if he did and got the sub.

Yes. Especially against a FW.

True that. Honestly, it seemed like things started going south for BJ shortly after he made the decision to start taking any old fight with any sized fighter. He had an awesome moment against Hughes, but he soon started bouncing round all kinds of different weight classes and I don't think those fluctuations did him any long term favors.

BJ via RNC
After BJ puts on a boxing clinic on the feet and Conor attempts a desperation TD.

Conor doesn't use the jab and against taller people who have good hands this is a must.
