I'm not hating. I'm stating facts, Nolan WAS obsessed with realism ( look at chicgotham for an example), the choreography DID suck (Batman vs Bane) and the orgins WERE twisted (the Lazarus pit was a literal hole that Bane (a native of a Caribbean island nation) was brought up in). There are plenty more examples but I could come up with. At least Burton was a little more faithful to the comics.
Lazarus Pits are used by Ra's al Ghul to maintain his youth and vitality throughout the centuries. Bane, the Comic Book version, was raised in Pena Dura, the brutal prison of the island nation of Santa Prisca.
