Batman Returns is still a terrible movie.

I wouldn't say it was worse than DKR...

At least BR set its tone as live action comic book, so yeah not great but not terrible.

DKR tried to be serious then went West-Bats style plot while still trying to act "realistic"

I think ive decided Batman 89 is GOAT.

Bale is the best Actor to play the part. Keaton was no slouch but he wasnt as good as Bale even with the over-the-top cringe voice.

I think Nolan’s The Dark Knight is the best Batman film so far. That said, I am a huge fan of Batman Returns, would rank it as my second favorite Batman film to date and feel that both Burton films have more replay value than the Nolan trilogy as a whole. So, with that in mind, I’d probably lean toward ‘89 and Returns.

I’ve framed it like this before, if you told me I could only ever again watch the Burton films or the Nolan films, I know what I’d choose, much as I liked the Dark Knight trilogy (including TDKR).
