The bus driving into the bank and then riding off in sync with the other busses like nothing happened. Maggie should have died when she fell with batman on top of the taxi cab along with the driver. Gordon faking his death (so much wrong with this) Batman not running over the Joker but instead crashing lol I get it batman doesn't kill but come on
 
Burtons was way more fun with a better vibe. Plus way better kill scenes.

Nolans was more realistic

It's been ages since I've seen the Burton films, but didn't Keaton straight up miss gunning down Jack's Joker with the Batwing and then Joker destroys it with that skinny ass gun? Like that's just as ridiculous as Bale not running over the Joker with the bat-pod in TDK, but who really complains about that stuff? lol.

Honestly, I've never been one to just nit-pick movies, but if we are talking about plot holes, something like Bane bankrupting Bruce at the Gotham stock exchange in TDKR actually fits that bill.

Im not saying the Burton ones are without flaws, they have some as well. That gun wasn't skinny, it was like 4 feet long lol I wasn't a fan of Billy Dee Williams playing Harvey Dent. Theres a few shots in batman 89 where you can clearly see the cable making batman fly/glide. But the thing is neither of Burtons batman movies is hailed as the "greatest superhero film" as the dark knight get labeled with. The real question is would I rather watch a comic book movie that actually resembles the comics or a comic book movie that doesnt at all? And for me personally I enjoy the Burton ones more.
 
got my tickets for next week for Batman 89 and Returns back to back in Dolby Vision Theatre AMC. Epic times , wanted to see Returns more than 89 but both will be even better.

My bad its been ages since I saw it. You realize that contraption itself is laughably stupid and impractical though right.

Also what about the entire gotham police force being lured underground and locked away for 5 months without food water supplies and they casually emerge with a bit of stubble. Nolan literally has the dumbest ideas and just goes with them. That plot device alone is one of the dumbest I have ever seen.

The big difference is, the Burton movies were deliberately designed as comical to a degree, a real life comic universe, so you can get away with things like that. Nolan's movies on the other hand, were supposed to be gritty and realistic , which means you can't then insert dumb comic stuff, because its inconsistent.

Same but only for returns. I saw batman 89 last year I think but might check to see if any seats are available for Monday for 89.

Batman Begins / The Dark Knight are all time great, classic, masterpiece movies.

Batman '89 is an all time classic. Returns is pretty boring.

This was always my issue especially when "gritty and real" was all the rage back then. A man running around dressed as a bat is goofy as all hell, and if it happened in real life it would be goofy as all hell and the guy would get killed the first day.

The "more realistic" presentation of the Nolan films just make it more ridiculous too. It is easier to believe that Batman exists in a gothic fantasy world rather than a concrete, real city, all things considered.

If you are over the age of 13 and you still praise how "real" the Nolan films are then you need to come back to the real world or grow up.

Catwoman - no doubt prime Pffiefer was greatness . Hathaway in role <damn>

The Joker is really close. Had He not died I think Jack's might still be thought of as best.
