We still don’t know how good his takedown defense is. Cro Cop crossed over from K-1 and was instantly a wrestler killer without having much grappling experience. We don’t know Perreiras potential yet but I imagine we will find out soon enough.

Easy there with the projection. Jotko has his points, and so does Alex. That's all there is to it. Not everything has to be polarized-sum-zero or have gay porn injected into it. Weird.

P.S. You're defending a fighter dodging another MMA fighter because he knows that he'd be beaten. It's ok. Alex is literally dodging him. That doesn't make either guy evil...or gay.

He fought Rob Wilkinson his first fight.
A grappler on about the same level as Alex's first opponent.

Can we see who Alex's 2nd opponent is before we shit on him? lol

No, I'm defending the fact that Alex is going into his 2nd fight and if you have a company allowing fighters to build up their careers and develop slowly, step by step like o malley for example, then please spare me about about alex.


1 fight in the ufc. Dodging or trying to move up the ranking wisely?
 
I can see the (multiple) reasons he doesn't want this, though I'd gladly tune in. However, I think he has enough entry hype to get better matches.

It didn't look great against Michailidis, but he didn't fade at all.

He could beat wrestlers through sheer snipery, but I wouldn't be throwing him in against a seasoned grappler just yet.

Jotko just beat Cirkunov, who was ranked at LHW when moving down to MW. So he's not ranked, but he has a quality win in his last outing, while Silva only had impressive finishes against no ones.

I mean, I don't think Jotko is great or anything, but he clearly called out Alex for dodging anyone who can grapple, and Alex basically just admitted as much. Izzy is annoying as fuck, but he beat people with grappling ability

Is it not already booked against Bruno Silva? 22 wins (19 ko, 3 dec) and 6 losses (5 sub, 1 DQ for throwing an illegal upkick)

That's part of Jotko's complaint. According to him, he had agreed to fight Alex on that date and says Alex picked Silva instead and is avoiding grapplers, then Alex says he never heard of Jotko, and admitted to avoiding grapplers.

I highly doubt Alex is afraid of Jotko, but there's 100 good reasons Alex shouldn't fight him, and Alex gave like the ONLY bad reason instead

I didnt see Alex admit to ducking grapplers. He just decided to fight someone other than Jotko, because even for a grappler, Jotko's fights are particularly boring. He's not wrong there.

Jotko is trying to get attention using Pereira's name because he knows he'll never be this close to him in the rankings again. Jotko is a gatekeeper, Alex will be fighting for the title in the next 1-2 years.

Besides, didn't Alex fight a grappler in his first UFC fight?

He seems to think he's getting a title shot after a win or 2.
Maybe he knows something we don't?

Jotko might make it a grinder, and that might not be good for Alex's future prospects.
