Bas Rutten - "Conor McGregor gave Nate Diaz the choke"

He might be right.

Conor knew he was in deep water and may have been looking for the exit sign.

Of course he did. That wasnt a testament to Conors bjj. He wanted out. He was beaten and wanted out. Similar to Cain giving Werdum his neck on a silver plater. I didn't have to hear Bas say it to know what Conor did.

Well, yeah. The only reason he even attempted the TD was he was looking for a way out. I'd rather get choked out than punched out too.

Because of his inexperience

Ronda gave Holly the headkick too right? Conor did shoot in desperation though. Nate was tagging him and bitch slapping him in the same combo. He knew extreme embarrassment was on the horizon. It was only going to get worse. How many times did Nate slap him? I loved it.

"Every fighter knows when you turn on your belly it's game over"??? I dunno... Nowadays it seems like giving your back and defending the choke is much preferable to being mounted and eating punches. In this case, yeah, I agree Conor lost that fight as soon as Nate took over the stand up battle.

Of course TS, we all knew this. Bas only confirms what we already know. Only the fan boys and apologists want to say otherwise. Mcgregor broke like a 2 dollar wrist watch with no batteries.

LOL stop embarrassing yourself dude. You sound like a clown who's in denial.

I remember a fight where a guy defended both these things from a guy who was 60 heavier and didn't get finished:)

He knew getting choked out was far less embarrassing than getting KTFO. In my mind giving up his neck like a thanksgiving turkey was far worse.

To this day I'm amazed as to how he managed to survive that experience. That one and the randleplex. If it weren't for the doctor he could have probably have come back to win that fight, Bigfoot looked gassed hard.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out

Except Conor did not try to defend the choke.
