What the actual fuck? I am watching Pride 4 and I swear Bas is commenting while he was just showed in the corner.

There are some funny stuff but the reason is that the commentary was done after the event, not in real time. Bas has spoken about this before, especially since he knew the outcomes. The amazing thing is that they both do a real good job in light of the fact.

According to Rutten, he was instructed to act as if this was all happening live while recording the commentary

Hence the hilarity of him appearing both as a cornerman and a commentator

Its not live. Bas basically makes no attempt to really hide this. You can tell he is joking when he suddenly switches to him being back on commentary. In later pride broadcasts they became live.

That s really hillarious. At some point the other guy asks him a question like 2 seconds after Bas was filmed in the corner and Bas goes " sorry you were saying" . But then later there are some moments when it s straight simultaneous.

It's not real time. It could have been weeks after the event. It was broadcasted live in Japanese.
