I agree with Josh. I think like 7 PRIDE HWs at the time Andrei was champ wouldve thrashed him. Fedor, Mirko, Nog, Barnett, Hunt, Sergei, Reem.

I wouldnt rule out Semmy, Werdum, Colemans chances either. I think Ricco would TKO Andrei again as well. Randleman to a lesser extent has a chance too.

Hell i think the top LHWs in PRIDE wouldve beaten him as well. Shogun, Wand, Hampage, Hendo, possibly Arona. 2005 Nog yeah.

I would have picked Hunt, Fedor, Mirko, Reem, Sergei, Randleman, and most likely Hendo.
Werdum lost to him. Coleman was a shell by then.

Andrei is 1-4 against PRIDE HWs getting knocked out in all those losses and the win by a close decision to Werdum. And its not like he was past his prime in those losses. Sergei was past his best and still KOd him stiff.

Andrei was good, no doubt. But severely flawed specially defensively.

He wouldve gotten thrashed at the time by the first 7 i mentioned for sure. Just different levels.
 
Overeen = PRIDE....Destroyed AA.

Barnett = PRIDE.....Will Destroy AA.





Can we just admit that PRIDE>UFC?

Overeem was mostly a middleweight in Pride. He fought at a heavyweight-ish weight for a few fights but didn't really do much tehre (except destroy Sergei). I wouldn't put that Overeem as a favorite against Arlovski. The other six though I'd give a good chance of beating Arlovski.

Overeem only became a great HW when he became Ubereem. During his demoltion man days the only thing he accomplished at HW was beat the living shit out of Sergei (which is impressive, sure) but I am not too confident about his prospects. He couldn't even put away Werdum at the time. Demolition Man wasn't a real HW, he was just an Overeem who was too lazy to cut.

Yeah Reem was mostly a 205er in PRIDE. I still like his chances against Andrei early with how shaky his defense and chin are. Dont think he would survive the initial onslaught.

Arlovski was defending against killers like Eilers (R.I.P.) and Buentello (Fear the consequences) though bro. Nvm that was only like 1 other decent HW in the UFC and Andrei lost a best out of 3 to him

I agree with your list apart from coleman, werdum and Nog. Arlovksi just had the style to beat these guys standing up back then. I dont see those guys taking him down at that point in their careers. Werdum was fresh and already fought arlovski. Nog didnt have the hand power or reach or takedowns.

But guys like barnett and randleman are Former UFc champs, i wouldnt call them pride guys.

And as much as I love the pride LHW's/MW. Arlovski was huge and is still too big for these guys. Lil Nog would literally die in there.
Arlovski gets knocked out by heavyweights, these guys dont possess the reach and power. Maybe Wand and Rampage
