“It’s tough to say who is the best,” Barboza told MMAWeekly. “Sometimes the guy who’s the best isn’t the guy who wins that night and he loses. It’s so hard for me to say one guy is the best. I feel like if you see the top five guys in the UFC, you rank the top five guys, all those guys their level is so high.”

“The level is so high, I believe Khabib could lose to anybody in the top 10 in the lightweight division,” he added. “It’s so hard to say this guy’s the best or this guy is the worst. The guys in the top 10 of the UFC, their level is so high, so it’s all very close.”

Is Barboza speaking the truth, or is he still salty from the thrashing he got at the hands of the Eagle? I think the only LW top 10 who has a chance against Khabib is Eddie Alvarez, and maybe Tony.

He could..I like khabib but replace al with Eddie and the khabib that showed up likely would have lost. Anyone can lose to anyone..even if barboza fought him again he could ko him. In their first fight he threw a ton of wheel kicks that khabib blocked at the last minute. Anything could happen

Well, we can at least say that he doesn't lose to you, Edson.

It's MMA, of course he can lose against anybody in the Top 10 (and even outside the Top 10), even if it's just due to a freak accident.

Barboza seems salty because he can't articulate himself well enough. But what he is probably trying to say is that Khabib (or any champ) can have a bad night and get knocked out by some dude close to his skill-level and still be the best fighter in the division..

I actually think Kevin Lee is the worst matchup for Khabib.

If Khabib fought Eddie on one days notice I don't think you could hold it against him for losing lol

He will never fight anybody in the top ten, so he will remain undefeated, lol.

Recording Padding 101.

I think Khabib is a level above everyone else at lightweight.

He's 1 dimensional though so when someone nullifies his 1 dimension he loses and it will be a Cain/Ronda level ass kicking.

Yeah, if the fight plays out on the feet Lee should have the striking advantage.

I disagree.

Lee got outstruck by a BJJ guy (Leonardo Santos).
Khabib and Lee both got shit striking. No clear advantages there.

What did you see in Lee's striking so far that made you confident he could outstrike Khabib? Genuinely curious

Of course Khabib can lose. It's not like he doesn't have weaknesses. His striking is obviously still a major hole in his game that could eventually be exploited. With that being said, I would still favor Khabib over everyone else in the division. It just wouldn't be a shock to see him get KO'd or even outpointed by someone who stuffs his takedowns.

wow, barboza not suckling the nutsack of khabib....
sherdogs wrath forthcoming
