Barboza did great, buuuut...

Hooker's ego got in the way of that fight.

He wanted to out kick Barboza, and ended up getting taken to school.

Once he finally started implementing his game, it was already too late. His hands were basically useless once he lost mobility in his legs.
I just rewatched.

Hooker landed good punches early too. I think I just overestimated the effect they would have on Edson. He slept Burns so easily and fucked up Ross Pearson. But even in the pocket, Edson could take punches from Hooker a lot better than Hooker could take them from Edson.
