Barao gets a real bad wrap

i mean he got praised when he was on top and everyone acknowledges he was good, and then he got absolutely humiliated and beat down twice, and got his ass beat by stephens and laid on by sterling.

as of right now he's barely a gatekeeper, so we treat him as such.

i don't know if i have seen a fighter lose his confidence as much as barao in recent memory (correct me if i am wrong); plus barao cutting all that weight does not help things.
Anthony Pettis man... Barao is 3-4 on his last 7, Pettis is 2-5

Maybe... the division was new during his UFC tenure. TJ made him look so bad so it's hard to say what could have been. Dana was calling him GOAT though.

Dana wouldn't even call him 'champion'.....

He defended an interim belt twice.

He was interim champ for almost 2 years, with two defenses while Cruz sat on the shelf injured as champion for 27 months.

Ridiculous. Said he wasn't getting his PPV points because he was interim champ at the time, too.....

I think the new re-hydration protocol is what really hurt him. He damn near had to kill himself to make 135 before and his strength and explosiveness doesn't translate at 145

Exactly . Most of the Nova Uniao camp (not just Barao) seems to have fallen off when iv rehydration was banned and USADA came into effect

To bad the roids aren't legal anymore or maybe it's a coincidence that him and Aldo took a huge drop off after. Aldo was still competing pretty well but just looked like a different fighter.
Any substantial proof that him,Aldo have being on the juice or is just that,FOR YOU ,ONLY Brazillian fighters look suspicious when their efficiency goes down?
