Let Me Bang Bro!!!

Crazy how 135 is prospect rich, full of hitters, and generally a lot of fun to watch; whereas 125 puts me to sleep.

there are some killers at flyweight just not getting much exposure FW has some as well LW too... but Im liking the guys coming up at BW

Men's bantamweight yes.

Women's bantamweight... also yes

Flyweight is predominantly a grappling based division. The only banger at 125 is Ryan Benoit and he's probably on the chopping block if he hasn't been cut already.

135 >>>>>> 125. Time to move up, MM.

I think Ben Nguyen, Willie Gates, Horiguchi, probably some others come to bang. Sergio Pettis was knocking fools out before the UFC, not really sold on his UFC career tho. Oh and did Dodson permanantly move to BW?

125 does have a few more "fan friendly" fighters, but it doesn't help that the UFC loads up FLW fights on fightpass. Outside of DJ you are hard pressed to see anyone else in the division get a main card slot.

Willie Gates is almost certainly cut so I didn't include him. I'd include Horiguchi and Nguyen on second thought. I got brawlers and bangers mixed up. Moraga is another banger.

didnt know about Gates getting cut. he always puts on a fun fight win or lose. sucks if they weed out even more of the fly weights, that division is so ill managed

I don't think the guys in the division are boring, It's just hard to get excited for their fights when they receive no promotion whatsoever and exciting ranked guys or prospects are buried on the prelims of fight nights(Horiguchi had no business on the prelims of the Rotterdam card). I don't mind Mighty Mouse dominating division but I would much rather see him dominate guys that earned their way to the shot than guys just being thrown to him for the sake of it. Fuck, Wilson Reis and Chris Cariaso both lost to Jussier Formiga and yet they both got shots off of abysmal 1-2 fight winning streaks while Formiga has yet to get one(not saying Jussier has earned one either but he has moreso than those 2 did). Guys like Justin Scoggins, Sergio Pettis, Ben Nguyen, Ray Borg and even a Kyoji Horiguchi rematch legitimately excite me and I hope the UFC properly builds them up to title shots if they can earn it but if they're just going to throw those guys into Mighty Mouse following wins over barely top 15 fighters then they might as well get rid of the division.

They'll give some new guys a shot with the next season of TUF, although I wouldn't mind seeing Gates vs Benoit if both are still under contract. One last bang.

well said

They should've devoted a section to Cisco in the OP that didn't involve him getting waxed by Lineker.

that makes no sense about TUF, when there are prospects fighting to get to contendership. I hate the way they manage flyweight, I get that they want to make MM a superstar but there are serious fights that can be made. Gates vs Benoit would be fun

anyway, sorry to derail the thread, its about Bantam Weight

Though he looked weak and ineffective in his last fight and a return to form is highly unlikely, I am still holding out hope for one of bantamweight's original bangers.
