I dont know that he is ducking anyone , he was injured against Rivera and it was a blessing in disguise for Rivera , because that gave Rivera hype train another 6 months to move before getting headkicked derailed by Marlon

Marlon would take Dom out in the 1st with leg kicks. Rivera/Cruz would be a competitive and uneventful fight. Will probably still happen.

I think the division has passed Dom by. TJ, Cody and Marlon are too young and fast for him, imo.

Hard to gauge where he sits skill-wise with these guys when he fights once every 2 years.

I'd honestly be curious to see how he does against guys like Almeida, Caraway and Sterling. Maybe even Dodson and Lineker. Would prefer to not see him tie up any of the top 5 guys.

I've been asking for Dodson vs Cruz forever now. To be fair though Dodson took some losses that pushed him too far down the ladder for a fight with Cruz.

I've been asking for Cruz vs Assuncao for a while now too. This fight makes sense right now today. No way Cruz deserves to sit out and wait for a TS.

Why does Cruz look like a MW next to TJ?

I didn't notice that much disparity when they fought.

His fragile legs couldn’t handle the power. TJ had him limping, but didn’t use that technique until the 5th. Marlon would attack those weak little toothpicks in the first and Dom wouldn’t get off his stool for the second. ;)

It was debatable until the third Cruz vs Faber fight. Cruz became undisputed BW GOAT after that fight.

That punch he landed in the second knocked the fight out of Faber.
 
But TJ outstruck Cruz, and I believe landed the better significant strikes than Cruz's pitterpatter. Missing shots or not, he was the aggressor and landed same if not a couple strikes more on Cruz.
 
Cruz. Legend of the division. Damn injuries took his prime but is still relevant.
