Both of them looked as green as they are.

Muhammed needs inherit some of his big brother's cardio genes and Junior needs to learn some basic defensive grappling ASAP.

Exactly the fight I would have expected from two green, one dimensional heavyweights.

Junior Tafa shares his Samoan heritage with legendary fighters such as Ray Sefo and Mark Hunt. The latter is a close friend and training partner of his, aswell as his older brother and future HOF’er Justin Tafa.

He’s a total madman:cool: #TafaGang

Back in 2018 Tafa participated in a GLORY 8-man heavyweight tournament at just 22-years of age. The idea of matchmaking for this tournament was to let the four "new" names choose one of the established names as their opponent for the opening-fight.
The young Junior Tafa was the first one to choose an opponent, and he got right at tournament favorite Jamal Ben Saddik, who stands 6’9”.

Here is their staredown and altercation right after Junior choose Ben Saddik, Tafa kinda being dressed like a gangster, and their pre-fight interview afterwards where they look ahead at the fight:

Here’s their fight:

Tafa came short against JBS, but no shame in that (though the problem with his cup was very amateurish) as Jamal is one of the best heavyweights in the world and went on to win the whole thing (and with just one hand in the final, because he broke his right/dominant hand in the semi-finals):

A year before this, Junior Tafa fought against Benjamin Adegbuyi in the final of a 4-man heavyweight tournament at just 21-years of age.
Benny hurt Junior’s legs and ultimately stopped the fight with Tafa unable to continue:

Imo Junior Tafa got himself in the mix with the big names way too early in his career (he went 3-4 (3KO’s) in GLORY), probably as a result of having an impressive first round finish in his GLORY-debut at his young age:

He is still green but never doubt dem Samoan genetics

His shape? He looked really flabby in the octagon today. Skinny obese with a muffin top.

Who is next in line at your glory hole of GLORY kickboxers?
Yeah he’s obviously not ripped by any means, but Tafa used to fight at 280 lbs looking like an absolute fatass, hence why I pointed out his shape improvement, that’s all bud.
Also, the fight was very disappointing after the first round

Pretty bad decision and reffing.

Jnr did about 90% of the damage in round 2 and 99% in round 1.

He was stuck on his back way too long but Usmans offensive wrestling was the most unimpressive aspect of the fight.

People complain about WMMA more than heavyweight and shit like this, but in all honesty I'd rather watch two small women fight than two completely incompetent heavyweight men. You ain't going to see no armbars from these big disappointing fucks.

Junior Tafa was in bad shape during his GLORY-days, carrying way to much weight. He appears to have lost a lot of weight and his shape is way better now.
It also looks like he developed a lot during the last few years, having a more calculated fighting-style nowadays. He’s got some good boxing-skills, his overhand being very tricky.

Beautiful eyes on BoxerMaurits there

The Eyes are the Mirror to The Soul

You can see that Boxer is a good human being

Dreadful fight, the skill level is so low.

Need to eat and sleep TD defenses for the next 6 months

I originally picked Usman to fight before the fight got postponed and I stuck with that. Junior would hands foen be the better striker, but I figured Usman would clinch and use takedowns. I think if Junior really puts the work in he has a high ceiling.
