bad stoppage ref

Yeah, that was bad. He was pushing upwards with his legs when the ref stepped in.

These are pros, not amateurs. This is the UFC. Guys like Tanner know what they're signing up for. Keith needs to give him more time and more of a chance than that. If it gets worse then fine, step in. But as he's actively working to get back to his feet, leave them the fuck alone.

How can it be a bad stoppage?

Cain Velasquez stopped Ben Rothwell using that same exact method!
If Tanner Boser was robbed, then so was Ben Rothwell.
I’d say they are both understandable but in the Cain fight he was taking Rothwell down repeatedly at will every time he got to the feet and was just beating on him which I think played into that stoppage more.

He was getting up, sometimes you gotta choose to do one or the other. If you just lay there blocking punched they'll stop it too.
Exactly he had 2 options, ea punch's and improve his position or cover up and eat punchs and not improve his position.

You can see as he's cheating and grabbing the fence one of those shots puts him out and the next wakes him back up. The ref is literally inches away and focused on Boser's eyes

If it puts him out how is able to post up on his knee and clear his leg to the outside and start the process of standing up.

I thought it was a bad stoppage live, but changed my mind after seeing the replay. He wasn’t defending and kind of did look like he was starting to go out.

Because the follow up shots woke him back up.
If he was out why didn't he slump, stop posting, cheat and grab the fence and clear his leg and regain his footing. His head snapped back twice violently but nothing from his body language gave the impression he went out.

I will say the visual didn't look good

He wasn't defending the punches but the ref stopped it when he was actively improving his position.

And I can't see a cage grab in thag gif. I don't see his hand at all.

I posted the gif. His head did slump. And then he got punched again, woke up but the ref was already moving in to stop it.

If he went out why didn't his body or motor skills react while still having presents of mind to actively stand up
