B.J. Penn Was The First To Hold Two Belts Simultaneously ( Proof Inside )

You are speaking nonsense

Conor's run at FW was legit and he destroyed the long reigning champ while he was in his prime.

Conor beat the legit LW champ in his prime too - Alvarez who is one of the all time great LWs

Nothing you say can take away from the fact Conor destroyed 2 legit champions in their primes across 2 divisions

How was that marketing? How is that fake? It was marketing that allowed Conor to outclass Aldo and Alvarez ?

You sound like a bitter hater

If you are going to downplay Conor's 2 belt accomplishment then YOU CAN NEVER EVER praise Gsp for his.

Gsp was retired 4 years and came back to beat a handpicked Bisping for the belt.

If anything was "marketing" it was Gsp's 2nd belt

4 years retired and had never fought at MW before

Conor was am actual champion when he fought for the belt at a higher weight class

That would've been like Gsp WHILE WW champ beating Anderson at MW.

Conor's 2 belt accomplishment is actually the most relevant and significant in MMA history

You say "but if others had the chance"

BJ WAS given the chance and he failed miserably against Gsp

No one else had the balls to step up and try while they were champions themselves

Stop being so hateful toward Conor. Get rid of that negativity that consumes your life and you'll be a better person for it

Jesus.

If I ever mindlessly worship a fighter on this level I hope someone puts a bullet in my skull.

The Mandela Effect is getting out of control...

Im not reading through eight fuqqin pages but im pretty sure they were declared co champs OF THE TOURNAMENT...not a division.

Like in Pride...Shogun won the middleweight tourney but didn't get Wands belt.

You're saving yourself a headache then. Just a bunch of BJP fans abandoning all logic in order to justify their dick riding.

Good. BJ deserves credit for all he did.

Not really an undisputed champion when there is a co-champion. Like others have said; no division, no champion.

Not reading through long thread so dunno if someone has said this already, but the UFC didn't remove the LW divison after Penn/Uno. They didn't get rid of it til 18 months later after UFC 49 and Yves Edwards vs Josh Thomson. Yves was kinda the uncrowned champion after winning that. Other fighters that were around at that time IIRC were Hermes Franca, Matt Serra, Bang Ludwig, Genki Sudo, and probably a bunch more. I think Caol Uno even had another fight in the division after that Penn draw.

Not that any of that matters to this silly thread....

The difference here is that the tournament took place to crown a LW champion. So being crowned the co-winner of the tournament means your are the co-champion of the division.
