Axe kicks

I think the first one in UFC was done by Patrick Smith if I'm not mistaken. Anyone have the patience to find it?

I love it when someone executes a successful axe kick, however it's not the most common kick to see and it's often not done very well.
Has there been a particular fighter who used this kick fairly often to great effect?
Also are there some fights i could check out where there were some axe kicks done well?

There's a training video of Wand and another guy, other guy tries an axe kick on Wand and Wand goes full berserker on him.

I believe it was during the 1994 K-1 Grand Prix.

Kongo got Cro Cop with a good one when he landed it on him when he was on the ground.

Not mma but Andy Hug was the king of axe kicks.

Kongo throw a crappy looking but effective one on Cro Cop when he was grounded. I'm not 100% sure but I think it broke his rib/s.
