Awesome Paulo Filho butterfly sweep counter

hmmm.. it is very common. Not the easiest thing to do if the guy on the bottom has long legs and strong, but still a good option

That's pretty nice. I ALWAYS end up going the other way and I'm pretty sure that Paulo is saying not to do exactly that! Looks to be a bit of a balance move but I'll give it a shot for sure.

I've had some strong wrestler's use that pass on me effectively but your base had to be strong and you have to be quick to get in on the hips. If you stop moving at any point in that pass it opens you up for more than one sweep.

This one needs some good drilling and I'd be sure to have a well rounded top/passing game before I'd bother with it.

Looks a lot flashier/cooler than it really is. It's just the principle of switching your base, and it works.

Not going to work if the guy playing butterfly guard controls your upper body correctly. Only if he leaves a very loose control and doesn't twist your upper body with the over/underhook is that gonna be open.

ummmm i think it can still work when the guy has upper body control on you...i think the timing has to be more precise in that situation but i can still see it working.
