I usually don't like when organizations do nation vs nation cards that kind of promote nationalism and xenophobia.

But it can be done right as in a spirit of unity (AKA at least the aspirations of the olympics).

So how awesome would it be if an organization had 8 LW tournaments from each of the main MMA world centers: US, UK, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Netherlands.

Then the winners of those 8 tournaments competed in a world tournament.

Not really interested in this concept since it would be a challenge to really get competitive fighters from each nation in a single weightclass tournament. MMA is already an international sport as it is, and we get to see the best fighters in the world compete against one another. Can't really ask for much more than that.

I'm a much bigger fan of the IFL 5-on-5 concept, with teams representing cities (countries would work too, considering MMA is a global sport).

Very underrated, IMO, but wasn't seriously used after IFL died.

I'd love for UFC or Bellator to eventually launch their own "challengers" series (ala Strikeforce) for either amateur fighters, or rookies (under ten pro fights), using this concept for fan investment (ala NCAA).

Why don't they make UFC teams in each weight class and give them names like in the NFL.

So it could be UFC 200: The Cowboys vs the Yankees

It's a one-on-one sport bro just stop the sillyness before I give you dubs.

That's an awesome idea...and it would only take about 12 years to make all those fights happen!

Rizin basically did something similar in their GP. They had one good representative fighter from every region
