Since its inception the Reebok apparel partnership with the UFC has been very controversial, with media and fans all voicing their opinion on the subject. However, the ones that are really being effected are the fighters themselves, with many on the UFC roster losing substantial sponsor money.

As the payouts for each event get released, you can see just exactly how much fighters are being paid under the UFC/Reebok deal.

Check out what everyone was paid for this weekends UFC Fight Night card from Rotterdam.

what a joke

Disgusting the only way to defeat this is a string social media voice a full campaign against it to raise public awareness

absolutely fucked up.... I bet Dana got more than that out of Reebok that weekend

I thought the minimum payout was going to be $5.000. Now $2.500??

Never owning a Reebok product is one of my biggest accomplishments.

Whining on Sherdog isn't going to make a lick of difference.

well thats 4,5k for wearing a shirt. they got their pay for fighting from the ufc.

Someone needs to file a lawsuit on behalf of the fighters. They have all the negative control clauses of an employee-employer relationship, with none of the freedom of an independent contractor or the benefits of being an employee. It is disgraceful. I swear, I've been watching this sport for about 17 years at this point, and it gets harder and harder to support the UFC. The reason the UFC calls it a "kit" instead of a uniform is to try to avoid contractual language that could be detrimental if any lawsuit were to occur vis-a-vis the whole independent contractor vs employee thing.

ViToRT called the relationship with Reebok 'slavery' the other day, and he wasn't too far off the mark. Can you imagine in Nascar if all the drivers had to wear the same logos? Or boxers? It is repulsive, greedy, and detrimental for the sport. That is why all real MMA fans should support Conor in his struggle with the UFC; even if you don't like him as an individual, the power relationship between fighters and promoters is so far askew that it makes a mockery of these fighters. They are risking life and limb and the UFC doesn't give a fuck.

Still sticking to the Conor fighting the big man theory i see....

I dont think its far fetched to say that most fighters who were unknown got that much in sponsorship. If the Reebok deal did anything it took the huge stars sponsorship and divided it among everybody.
