The fight happened because Odin wanted to stop Galactus from getting the Galactus seed, it was only over because Odin couldn't fight anymore.

How does Odin being unable to move and Galactus being completely fine show them to be evenly matched?

Galactus was out and Odin was still awake.
You can argue that Galactus is much more powerful than Odin, but that isn't what we saw.

It hardly matters that Odin was conscious and unable to move, especially when moments later Galactus was fine.

Well wouldn't that put him on par with the most powerful version of Thor since that version was as powerful or more so than the most powerful version of Odin who was as powerful as most of the top universal threats?

Sentry was so over-powered the writers had to deal with the Superman Problem: how do you create challenges for a being with such God-like abilities? They eventually had to cripple the Sentry with psychological issues, including a split personality, that basically kept the Sentry housebound for much of the time. Otherwise every story that included the Sentry would over by page 3.

I do know that Greek gods and some other mythical characters are open to use by any publisher. I did not know however Ares became a part of the Avengers.

In regard to the Galactus v Odin argument. In a fairly crumby Hercules run, Zeus laid a whooping on Galactus. If Zeus can do it, so can Odin.

I don't think we have seen a single MCU character who was introduced at the peak CBU level and that is a good thing.

People complain about Ultron being nerfed but Ultron was not as powerful in the CBU at his intro as he was at his peak.

Again I say it all the time that we geeks who read the comic books want the MCU to simply be an extansions of the CBU and pick up at the levels they were at but that would be death for the MCU. If every threat and every battle was a god tier, universal threat things get boring quick and Squrrel girl reset becomes ineviatble.

It is far better to intro characters and let them grow into power over time as we are now seeing with Thor. That journey is far more intersting than seeing him as Odin Force Thor in the first movie and every one after.

They can at least save the much higher base form threat levels for the main event but even so I agree with your points wen it comes to the screen. Heroes need to start somewhere and level up in certain attributes as the cinematic universe grows. I think MCU has done a not so bad job at this.

Even Thanos is getting built up in IW storyline. But at base its confirmed that he is much stronger than hulk.

But in all, MCU power levels are different than CBU

You seem to think that was not done by design. Don't let gals fool you ya into thinking they don't want to be looked at. In fact they want to know you cannot resist. Everything in that design is called an eye draw and meant to direct your gaze a certain way.

Oh and when I say "she wants you to look' that 'you' may not actually be you. She wants every guy to be able to not resist while maintaining the right to be annoyed if certain guys she is not interested in do look.

I was watching some of the official trailer reaction videos, and it's crazy how mainstream it's become. I guess 10 years of Marvel movies have really made a lot of non comic book fans invested in Infinity War. You can always tell who the real comic book fans are by them geeking out to Gamora snapping her fingers and the joy of seeing Ebony Maw.

Wasn't that the one where Galactus was hungry and Zeus was amp'd by the Chaos King, therefore boosting his powers immensely?
