I've got a bottle of champagne in the fridge(birthday present). I was saving it for the start of all out Nuclear War between America and Best Korea, as there is no way I'm going through the Apocolypse sober. But I'm tempted to crack it open while watching the trailer tomorrow:)

I wonder if Thanos should have been rooted into this grand story, or better built up?

He got most build up from Guardians of the Galaxy - being a shitty Dad to Nebula and Gamora .... telling some other guy to kill Drax's family ... ummmm merp

It's just most people don't know who Thanos is ... seems like only GOTG does.

So he has no personal deep relationship with the goodguys. It's not like a Joker vs Batman.

99% of the heroes will be meeting Thanos for the first time in Infinity war... his name wasn't built up to strike fear in anyone. Everyone in Gotham knows Joker but when he arrives on earth Spiderman will be like "Who dat purple guy" ... Ant Man and Tony Stark will make purple jokes ...

He should have been build up better before this big showdown

All we vaguely know about @Thanos based off the movies is he's some purple guy who sits his lazy ass on a chair and wants the stones for ??? And he gave a stone to Loki to get another stone but lost that ... couldn't get Ronin's stones ... he's bad at stones! Er, Jems.

He kind of sucks, oh wait there was that one movie where he puts a glove on ...

???

hopefully Avengers 3 fixes this problem and better sets up Avengers 4.

I'm excited for this movie, don't get me wrong, mostly to see all the good guys meet each other and see how they play off each other. But there's going to have to be a scene where Gamora has to do a meeting presentation explaining who the badguy is to all the extended Avengers and heroes.

It takes away a lot of the tension when the badguy is so vague and mysterious nobody in the movie knows him at all.

Agree. Was hoping he’d show in GoTG2 or Thor3 and wreck shop or something like that. I’m thinking he’ll be built up in Avengers 3 by killing a bunch of people.

It would have been cool if on the last scene of the movie immediately prior to IW someone hints at his impending arrival “it’s too late he’s already coming”. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers but i feel itd be worth it for Thanos.

I actualy like that Thanos doesn't have much of a personal relationship to the Heroes, beyond Gamorra, Nebula and Drax. That's kind of the point: he's so far above everyone else, it's not like the Joker obssessing about killing Batman. It's more like one of us crushing a load of bugs that happen to be in our way.

Not to mention they said it was going to be a heist film. They're not supposed to know who's playing the game.

I think it's going to be a teaser trailer. It'll be labeled as a teaser trailer but it will still be like a full trailer similar to the teaser trailer of Thor: Ragnarok with the Immigrant Song.

Agreed. The movie doesn't come out for six months, and they won't want to shoot their load too soon.
