Wait a minute, I am curious why you think that. If and when marvel begins to marlet this, I'd imagine they can mention in trailer ten years in the making or something. Even without stellar marketing in mind, I feel like comic movies in general are doing killer numbers. 1 billion if the movie is good doesn't seem far fetched. Isn't Thir ragnarok gonna make that? Lol.

I'm also curious why you believe this. My theory behind why it would is because it's the first time every single franchise they have built are all coming together. It made me believe that maybe people that aren't massive superhero fans but say, love the GOTG movies would go. Maybe just die hard spiderman fans would go. Curious to hear your response. Always read every single one of your posts and reviews. I'm a massive cinephile

I’m thinking someone will use the infinity gauntlet to undo Thanos’ damage. That’s what Adam Warlock did with the gauntlet in the comics.

Im still debating this. For Avengers 1 all the lead up movies except IM 1 and 2 didnt even hit 200 million. Now 300 million is basically the average for Marvel movies. The built in audience is potentially bigger now.
The fact this is the beginning of the end of phase 3, GOTG are part of the movie and Thanos will finally be front and center should be enough for above 200 million.

I don't know I think the best marker is Age of Ultron I thought for sure that would get to 200 Mil it was the Crown Jewel of Phase 2 and was coming off of the good will of Guardians of the Galaxy the movie before and Winter Soldier the movie before that. 200 Mil is not a given.
