DeepUh no it's not
DeepUh no it's not
In fact in the comics Spider-man did get a lot of hate, and was suspected to be a mutant back in the day. The source of your powers was a big deal in the marvel universe. Since anyone could be born a mutant, you had a lot of people running around potentially causing trouble with little to no training. Ultimately it was used as a racism allegory, but there was some in universe logic as to how it was different.Maybe it's different in the comics but when I watched the 90s cartoon, anyone who showed they had a power was immediately branded a mutant and a freak in the eyes of regular humans. Even when the X-Men save the day, there were asses condemning them.
So since the X-Men are in the same universe as other Marvel heroes, how come the public didn't immediately brand Spiderman or Reed Richards as a mutant and a freak the first time they displayed their powers?
That's why he died, he remembered Last Jedi
Thanos's snap didn't even effect him

There is no "resistance". This isn't a Keanu Reeves movie. You just happen to like a movie that is controversial and a lot of people dislike on Sherdog. I get that you like the movie but you are getting so upset at what people post that you feel you have to mudsling for some reason. First i'm a hater, then i'm in the resistance!, and now I'm a troll. What next?Do you have any idea how much the resistance trolls?
Actually, I'm convinced that you don't... because you claim to have no idea how much you yourself troll. (more on that as I respond to your next quote) So if me generalizing you into a group gives you some discomfort then I'm fine with that... because your posse has made it unbarable for anyone who enjoys the movie to enter the thread unless they just feel like a good fight in which the resistance doesn't hear a word & twists everything that's said toward their agenda.
I don't have a "crew". I am one person and I don't care if there are others who didn't like the movie or not. I don't know them and don't need to know them.I'll give you an example for at least the 3rd or 4th time I've mentioned this to you... in which your crew is only trolling spite even when they've been presented with absolutely 100% full proof that they were wrong.
Good grief. I linked you a video which you first refused to respond to and when you did respond I wasn't even sure what you were talking about. I didn't leave the debate, you left it. You "altered" your point of view because it didn't make any sense, not because you agreed with anything I said. You claim to have made a good point but I really don't know what that was as it wasn't clearly outlined for me to even agree or disagree with it.Instead of acknowledging it... (as one would expect if we were in fact having what you describe as a "debate"... ) you decided to avoid it.... & change the subject. It was at that time I realized that you & I were not having a conversation. You are incapable of acknowledging a valid point from the opposite side of the discussion & so I ended our discussion without haste. I'm not here to spend my time "debating" things with you... & even going so far as to altering my points of view ... when you are unwilling to offer me the same acknowledgement when I make a good point. On top of that, you actually attacked me for altering my point of view based on your arguments. You made it out to be a negative that I took something you said & acknowledged it... & changed my point of view.
I wasn't changing the subject. I just don't get what your point is here. I don't recall refusing anything. Here is the example of when you were wrong & would not acknowledge it:
You said the chase scene in TLJ was bunk because even when they ran out of gas it wouldn't matter because bullets through space do not recieve any resistance... so a bullet shot from the distance they were chasing the Raddus would have just as much impact as a bullet that was shot if they were right on top of the Raddus.
I simply replied "No gas = no shields"
& you forever changed the subject. I told you no... I'm not going to change the subject until you at least acknowledge our previous conversation. You refused & I then refused to have any more conversations with you about anything.
I remember you leaving pretty quickly here. I was still responding and mentioned wanting to also discuss something that I had posted long ago that you never responded to at all. You think I was ignoring you but really I didn't even really see what point you were trying to make at all. The first order said that they weren't in range. Mauler the guy from the video pointed out that range shouldn't matter in space where there is no wind resistance or bullet drop. Your response about not having shields if you don't have fuel doesn't counter that point. Maybe in your head it was this huge counter point but you didn't type it out very well.I even mentioned that they had "full power on the rear shields"... & so if they were surrounded then those bullets would be more impactful on the front of the ship. You also ignored that response.
I even came right out & told you that you were incapable of acknowledging that you were wrong & I was right... & you just ignored it & of course proved me correct in the process of ignoring the accusation.
If I see you clearly counter something about the chase scene then sure it wouldn't bother me at all to acknowledge it because the chase isn't even close to one of my biggest problems with the movie. Which is why I wanted to move on to Rose and Finn instead of quibble over lasers in space. Changing my mind over one detail is certainly possible. The movie in general? Definitely not.You can prove me wrong right now by acknowledging it. I think you are 100% incapable of acknowledging that you & your god from that video were wrong about that. There's no way in hell you are going to admit that. & so that is precicely why I have realized that we are not even having a conversation. You are just spitting your point of view & it cannot be altered. You can never be wrong or change your mind imo.
Whatever you want just try not to be so upset at people who don't like the movie. No one is out to get you. We just wanted a better movie. That's all.To be honest, you twist so much that I say that I don't really even want to continue a convo with you... because I end up having to explain stuff like this more than we actually talk about the movie... & so it seems like a big waste of time to me. I've also explained this to you several timez... yet you insist on continuing to quote me.
Thanks.I think it was just some rumour that was online..... theres nothing concrete. Dont think anything has been confirmed
uh.... yes it is. its not even close lol you're definitely the minority on that opinion. It's not really surprising that it has cleared $2 billion, but it's not even the best Avengers movie.
There's a real argument to be made that it's the best superhero movie EVER, period. Much less the best Avenger movie, which it definitely is by a wide margin.uh.... yes it is. its not even close lol you're definitely the minority on that opinion.
Also someone clapped in my theatre when Thor arrived in Wakanda and I actually burst out laughing via second hand embarrassment
Theatre was nothing but like adult neckbeards. Couldnt believe it.
They may have also been reaching for the tissues when both Scarlett Johansen showed up and when Spiderman died
I legit also didnt realize it was Scarjo, the blond hair threw me off. At first I thought it was Steve Rogers girlfriend from civil War
finally watched this tonight in theatres
movie was fucking legit
i thought I was going to have serious superhero fatigue, but man this movie subverted my expectations hardcore
this felt like a fucking horror movie wrapped in a marvel movie. setpieces were great. the wakanda shit was derivitive but i was with it the whole way.
all the Thanos shit was great...finally a villain with depth and motivations that ACTUALLY make sense.
comedy didnt feel out of place. the serious moments were handled well.
this was definitely the Stark/Strange/Thor show.
as far as im concerned, Thors plotline was the fucking best. second was Strange and Stark with Spidey...the guardians were great EXCEPT Quill. he"s a moron, and single handedly caused the doom of half the universe was hilarious.
this moive had brutal deaths for both good and bad guys, like this shit was more brutal than fucking Lord of the Rings
Not much else I can really go on about since im so late to the party but my favorite part of this movie, was that they didnt cheap out on the magic battle between Strange, Thanos and crew...any other movie could cheap out and just use laser blasts...but this was like...when Voldemort and Dumbledore use ACTUAL magic in the Order of the Phoenix...its like "holy shit...these guys are doing shit no one in the show can remotely even attempt!" ...but then the series progresses and the magic boils down to a green magic laser vs a blue magic laser.......its lazy. but this was HUGE for my appreciation of the movie....Strange/Tony/Thanos/Spidey fighting Thanos was incredible, it felt gritty, the magic was fucking awesome...GREAT setpiece . best in the series.
I also want to pipe in and say this movie had better planet/world creation than the last 6 Star Wars movies combined...they felt rich and looked fucking incredible.
but yeah...lot of holes in their plans and stuff...but i assume Strange saw all the flaws in his timetravel scene, and i assume the moment Thanos gets the time gem, is when Strange created a timeloop. like in the Strange movie with Doramammu. and the second movie will be the realization that Thanos is living in a loop. and they'll have a line of dialogue from Strange in the finale like, "14million outcomes Thanos, but this is the one you DON'T win" and then THor obliterates Thanos brain with his super hammer.
but yeah great movie. thoroughly enjoyable. appealed to my shlock side, my marvel Stark sass humor side, my horror movie, body horror love...fuck it was good
that and they utilized Strange/Thanos true powers in a great. beautiful setpiece. was like DBZ in real life with the moon shit...soooo good.
also Captain America/Bucky/Black Widow were marginalized like fucking crazy which was a godsend because they all bore me to death.
but yeah Thanos as a villain was 10/10. the scene where he kills Gamora was insane, and when he snaps his fingers and the audio drops as he speaks with child-gamora was straight out of the fucking twilight zone or something....creepy shit man
9/10
1 point deducted for killing off Strange and not fucking Black Widow

The avengers and Fantastic Four were constantly, and publicly, saving the world. Whereas the good mutants were often fighting evil mutants, and all civilians saw were a lot of mutants causing collateral damage during turf wars.
Good review - agreed
Except The time loop reveal
If they start the next movie with "hah this is a time loop" and reset back to the last movie I'll be PISSED
Also since Strange doesn't have the stone I'm not sure he can maintain the loop?
But yeah Strange killed in this movie. I even liked his appearance in Thor better than his stand alone.
Strange's own movie was boring to me. Boring characters, not much fun or fun characters to play off each other. He's like the Hulk for me, works better in a group. Going from Guardians of the Galaxy to see fun characters interact to Strange's stand alone where Wong laughs once in the whole movie .... dull, drap bunch aren't they.
More Strange! Less solo Strange

Disagreed 100%. Loved Dr. Strange's movie.
It was fun. You just didn't do enough shrooms before going to the theater. It just didn't have the fun of like any other MCU movie (except hulk)
After seeing Marvel trump DC at the box office over and over, now Batman wants to come over to the team...
