One thing that always seemed silly to me is that in X-Men, the people with powers (mutants) were so hated by society but then a large portion of society loves the Avengers and Spiderman.
How come?

Isn't Comcast still making a bid?
Comcast made a $65 billion dollar bid to usurp Disney's $50 something billion original bid. Disney countered by upping their bid to $71 billion. Fox accepted.

Hell, out of all the characters Loki is one who really could handle an entirely different actor change without much hindrance to the character. It might still hurt because people want to see Hiddleston, but I can't think of another character who would as easily make a switch.

Reincarnated to Female Loki like in the Comics make him a vixen . Could work

Well Fox better buy Comcast a nice dinner out at the best Outback Steakhouse in town for upping that bid from $50B to $71B.

The extra $21B definitely deserves some sides too!

I feel like the difference is that the Avengers and Spiderman are established super-heroes, meanwhile mutants could be anyone, good or bad. Some dumb kid without the morals of spider man could just go around causing trouble and stealing shit.

The reason I hate the idea of adding in the X-men universe, Marvel already has heroes out the ass, adding in mutants just completely over saturates everything seeing as how mutants take up an actual percentage of the human population.

Reports are indicating Comcast will increase their bid to over 80 billion.

Avengers are legit and the government and united nation have accepted working side by side thus accepted by society

Wereas mutants have a bad rap as they have their extremist, and prof x is out there tryna fix that on his end tryna get mutants accepted

They will probably only ever interact during major events. Mutants and other heroes are kinda kept separate even in the comics.

I'd like to see Galactus as a future villain. Introducing the F4 could work, but it seems a bit late. I don't want the X-men in the MCU though, that's just too much going on there, and I don't like the idea of one in every how many people just happening to be a mutant with powers.
A build up to a proper Galactus is what I'm anticipating most highly. We just had a villain with a God-complex, only way to top that is an actual God.

As some others have said, I think the X-Men films going forward will be relatively self-contained, kind of like the Guardians movies. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an Avengers film some time after the X-Men have been introduced that does not include them or any other mutants. Kind of like how Age of Ultron didn't include the Guardians. Then in another 10 years or so there will be the next big Infinty War style crossover movie, and that's when we get the Avengers / X-Men team-up. I'm curious to see how they do it. I expect at least a trilogy of X-Men films, and at least one more Deadpool film.

It's because there are seen as the next stage in human evolution, Homo-superior. Regular folk are worried they will violently overthrow human society and replace it with mutant society. Or that eventually so many mutants will be born that they outnumber the normal humans.

Maybe it's different in the comics but when I watched the 90s cartoon, anyone who showed they had a power was immediately branded a mutant and a freak in the eyes of regular humans. Even when the X-Men save the day, there were asses condemning them.

So since the X-Men are in the same universe as other Marvel heroes, how come the public didn't immediately brand Spiderman or Reed Richards as a mutant and a freak the first time they displayed their powers?

I guess partly because Peter Parker and the Fantastic Four were born normal humans and gained powers through accidents. Mutants were born that way so they are seen as freaks.

The real reason though is because Spiderman and the Fantastic Four were created before the X-Men, so the idea of humans hating super-powered mutants hadn't been thought up yet. And I may be incorrect on this point, but I don't think the idea back then was for all these characters to interact, they were more standalone, and didn't necessarily share continuity.

This is pretty much my dream scenario. Will see what they do.

Honestly thinking about it more I wouldn't mind if they kept the whole X-men\Avengers universe separate in general. Like permanently. To me it will just cause some confusion because it would be really unrealistic for the Avengers not to get involved during the Phoenix Saga.
