Cant Thanos use the time gem to see the same outcome?

If this conflict has a bunch of different outcomes why cant Thanos just use the time gem to ensure that he takes the necessary steps to avoid losing

Good call. I would agree as well. He should be able too see it. And lets say he does, how do the avengers get 2 steps ahead of him? How does either side prevent the other from getting ahead?

My guess would be a depowered guantlet. It may have its limits after all that power used within the snap

Im curious to see how MCU will address this.

He can do that but he won't.

A common angle with him is his arrogance, he sees himself as so superior he can't lose so in his mind he doesn't need to see all possible outcomes.

This will also lead to his downfall in Avengers 4, i'm sure of it.

He also has no desire to actually win which is why he never has.

Maybe they use the Watchmen comeuppance and Thanos looks into the future and decides he was wrong.

That would be amazing if it was another whole movie of Thanos beating the crap out of them and at the end he's like eh..... actually nevermind.

He should be able to, but I guess he didn't (or perhaps didn't realize he could as he had just gotten the stone) and when he snapped his fingers, it seemed the gauntlet broke, so perhaps it's not possible anymore.

When Dr. Strange gets the time stone, it takes him a while before he understands how to use it at all.

Probably already been discussed but all of this has to be part of doctor stranges plan right? His last words to tony were “it was the only way” or some shit. Obviously a lot of the heroes will be coming back unless Spider-Man and Black Panther 2 are starring the fat Asian kid and Shuri. I think stark and captain get axed next film though.

Side note, Proxima would get it.
Yeah I imagine that's why Doctor Strange didn't hesitate to save Tony Stark by giving up the time stone- him being alive must be crucial to the one victory scenario.

You know strange saw his death

Fucked up sheit

Every time I see a .gif with suspiciously minimal frames and always cropped down as if to fit in some gay artsy queer dude's signature on another forum I think "this is a shitty tumblr gif, isn't it?"

and i'm right every fucking time.

nothing says you have a small dick like making shitty ghetto bandwidth-afflicted tumblr gifs that cut off like a solid 5 seconds worth of frames.

(i know these aren't your gifs, i'm just insulting tumblr, not you)

Ok so I finally got to seeing IW in the imax just a few days ago, now I can sleep easy knowing I no longer need to worry about spoilers thank fook.

Really enjoyed it overall and easily the best Avengers movie thus far, though to be fair that in itself doesn't really say much because they two previous ones were somewhat disappointing for me .... especially the 2nd.

The scale of IW was incredible and seeing it on the imax screen in 3D made for truly epic experience. The action was pretty much relentless and even at a fairly hefty 2 and a half hours really didn't ever feel like it was dragging.

Some of the scenes were truly awesome, Thanos vs Dr Strange the forging of Stormbreaker and of course the final battles among others. The cgi was top notch, when cgi first started to become widely used I never thought after some of the early crap that we would be seeing it used to such great effect with creatures, entire planets and galaxies so well rendered that they are virtually seamless. The star of the show, Thanos, was incredibly well done, although I still would have preferred him with White Walker-esque pale blue eyes and a bit more bass in his voice but hey ho we can't have it all can we . I guess most importantly they gave us a villain with some real depth and feeling to him which was a real breath of fresh air compared to most of the weak bog standard baddies we've had thus far.

My main gripe with the movie was the humour, which after the more natural and genuinely felt humour of Ragnarok was back to the usual forced feel of the other MCU movies. Here in particular most of the gags fell flat for me and felt very out of place juxtiposed with the very serious tone and overall feeling of impending doom. I guess there weren't too many of these scenes or at least not enough to detract very much from what was otherwise an immensely enjoyable superhero extravaganza.

I rarely go to the cinema but this is the type of movie I like to catch on the big screen, one that is like a fully immersive thrill ride and though not quite perfect IW delivered the goods. A solid 8/10 from me.

One final point... with regards to the post credits stinger in which we see Fury's hail mary pager message being delivered to what is presumably Captain Marvel, I must be honest and say I don't know jack about her. I'm hearing that she will have a big role to play in the IW sequel but just how powerful is she? What sort of power level is she in the comics and with Thanos now wielding the gauntlet and full set of stones will she be in need of a power up from her comic book incarnation to be a serious contender finale?

That actually bugged me.

Get this man stabby bracers that a LARP dork wouldn't show his fellow virgins.
If I remember correctly, the exact formula for Cap’s shield is lost

Even if I highly enjoyed the film, I think there was a lot scenes that should've been added, like how Thanos acquired the Power Stone from Xandar, and more mobilization of the heroes/people of Earth against the threat of Thanos.

Something tells me that maybe IW and Avengers 4 would be better if the two movies would be a trilogy.

I have never touched a comic book in my life, but when anything is rumored/mentioned or happens in the MCU, I do a ton of research so I know what I am getting myself into.

**WARNING, MY COMPARISON** She is SORT OF like Jean Grey, in the sense that she has her normal form that is powerful (albeit a different skill set than Jean), then she HAD an ultimate form such as Dark Phoenix which is called Binary. I draw this distinction from a non comic nerd looking in, and may be flamed for the comparison, but that's how I see her. Normal level that's formidable, ultimate level that is at a VERY high level, not quite on par with Dark Phoenix though.

Super tough, super durable, can fly, can project energy. I would compare her to a flying Captain America that can project energy. Her origin movie will show us how she got her powers and show her learning to control them in the past, the end credit scene will be a present scene where she gets called into action, no doubt one of her sidekicks that we grew close to in the movie fades away into ash, giving her some motivation to stomp on Thanos.

Who knows if she goes Binary in the next Avengers or not, but also, who knows at what level Thanos is with his fried gauntlet and gems on the mend. Her going Binary would no doubt be rewritten as to how it happened, unless they really wanna get into the whole Brood and egg thing during her movie, which I highly doubt they will use that if Binary happens.

I have no problem with it. I think you may not really understand black culture and how many black kids are born into a society hating themselves and each other. In America they are one of the weakest links and definitely need to be uplifted.

Imagine being one of millions of black kids growing up in an urban environment, and all you see is negativity on the news about your people. And all the black shows are retarded and either about rapping or selling drugs. You come to have a certain viewpoint about not only the society you grow up in, but about yourself as well. Kevin Lee has talked about his insecurity on the JRE as well.

It’s a big deal because despite Hollywood making stupid sjw movies like all women ghostbusters, it’s still mostly white. And black people don’t always have positive or intelligent roles in Hollywood

Stopped reading after i dont understand about black culture.

Thats a dumb statement on many levels. Not all blacks are the same and dont go through the same things.

Weird how my wifes black my kids are black. My best friend in the whole world is black. half of my family married black men and women but somehow i cant comprehend hahah

There's nothing racist about coming together to see a VERY positive portrayal of your race in a genre that typically ignores you.

If you do anything positive or negative for a specific color then yes you are racist.
