For me it wasn't it's all working under Strange's plan, it's a clear fake-out.

Not buying it for a second that they are gone, guess you do.
what plan? Dr Strange is dust.... who is making sure the plan works?#

you think he had time to tell Tony all about it?

Nah, I think that Spidey death scene will still hold up even if he does return. Example, Empire Strikes Back had that emotional Han and Leia farewell before being frozen. We know Han turned out to be okay after Return of the Jedi. So did the Empire Strikes Back farewell scene diminished or did it still hold up after repeated viewings? Quality is quality.

Pretty much, I don't want to be critical of it specifically as its very well done but I tend to think theres been a bit of a "Game of Thrones effect" in recent years where by you suddenly need to kill characters off permanently to have any drama in genre cinema/tv. Good writing/acting/directing can give drama weight without finality of consequence.

Lord of the Rings for example has a very low bodycount of heroes in only Boromir and Théoden yet manages to carry its share of drama I'd say.

Marvel should make the next Guardians about Rocket and the Stallone Ravagers and the next Spiderman movie a prequel where Uncle Ben dies since they've announced those sequels already.
no..... I dont need to see any more versions of Uncle Ben dying

just put a plaque in his house that reads "With great power comes great responsibility- Uncle Ben" and continue moving the character forward

They should have brought Eitri to Wakanda. Then they could make the bestest Vibranium weapon.

Also, Stark's got nanotech but Rhodie's got his old ass suit and rickety leg braces. He's been Stark's only friend for the past few years. That's not fair.
he cant make the weapons without the heart of a dying star...... and his hands are busted

It’s logistically impossible story wise. Do you know the infinity gauntlet, war and crusade stories?

Half of the heroes are already gone and you want Marvel to hold off on finishing infinity war and go to the next infinity stones arc which basically requires all the heroes again. It’s not possible and would confuse the shit out of the viewers.. The stones are with thanos right now. How the fuck are they going to run another infinity stone arc with another villain?? So no it doesn’t work.
Can't say I'm following your logic here.

It's not like farmer Thanos is going to have the infinity glove on while he's planting his tomatoe plants. He's gonna stash it somewhere. On the real... he should be concerning himself with destroying the stones so that someone can't reverse the snap. Assuming that's not what he does... it's very conceivable to think that someone comes along & distracts or even defeats Thanos &/or finds the Glove... & reverses everything... easy peasy. You really only need the time stone to pull it off. There is no "how the fuck could this happen" as you say... it's very easy to see how the fuck this could happen.

I don't really follow what your saying with "I want marvel to hold off on finishing Infinity war"... perhaps you could expand on your thought there. "I" don't "want" anything. I'm just discussing what I see as the most logical thing to happen. Explain to me how Spiderman's arc will continue if he's vaporized. that's the elephant in the room.

I have not read those comics... nor do I need to in regard to this discussion in light of the fact that MCU does what ever it wants regardless of what the comics say. However, if there's something important to this discussion you'd like to bring up... I'll hear you out.

To be fair though he then has a really sick moment to cap off the Dinklage scene followed by a hilarious introduction of him by Thor to Rogers.

Also the delivery of “I am Groot” the first time in response to Starlord telling him to put the game down (followed by the Guardians’ reaction to it) had me dying.

Korg-running-at-Loki’s-projection-and yelling “Piss off, ghost!” level of hilarity for me.
he also saved Thors life by putting Stormbreaker together..... and if that didnt happen Thor wouldnt have been able to save everyone in Wakanda

so technically Groot saved everyone in Wakanda lol

latest

you are DEAD to me lol

Oh.. then:

10 out of 10 will Thanos again

Strange saw the only way they can win and that involved sacrifice and I guess Tony alive hence he saved his life.

More like simulation, potential.. not old school plan more like let it ride in this exact way.

The score was so weird at the beginning lol.
Silvestri has made some amazing scores in his career but aside from the Avenger’s main theme I feel like the whole score is pretty generic and unmemorable

I really gotta read the comics. Any recommendations? Probably the ones that the curreny films are based on.
google "read comics online" then search "infinity" in its search bar

should bring up a decent amount of comics to read

Being a longtime comic book fan as well as an avid TV viewer, it's commonplace for me to know that the heroes will likely survive whatever cliffhanger predicament they were in. Since they already have movie sequels lining up, we already expect Black Panther, Spider-Man and the GotG to come back. I'm totally fine with that because I want to see more of their adventures. What is more important than who is dead or alive is getting a good story and Infinity War told a freaking great story. Just enjoy the ride.
Do not mistake me explaining things about the movie to mean that I didn't enjoy it. I gave it a 9 because I have an ability to overlook plot holes, continuity issues, & some just plain bad writing in a few spots if the overall movie delivers. I think it did. I started out with an 8 due to that stuff... but after a 2nd viewing, I appreciated it so much "over all" that I had to bump it up to a 9.

You are actually agreeing with what I said regarding Spidey coming back... so I'm not sure what your point is here. If it's just to make sure I'm not so ate up with this discussion that I didn't enjoy the movie... then be assured that is not the case. I appreciate that point of view & have expressed that to others in this & countless Star Wars threads as well. I'm actually one of... if not the biggest champion on sherdog of that point of view. I think too many people are overly hypercritical to the point that they no longer know how to enjoy a movie. They're sitting there scoffing at the lighting or the fact that they detected some CGI... while the beauty of the movie is passing them by.

So anywayz... just so you know... I'm good with enjoying the movie. That doesn't mean I'm not going to discuss things whether good or bad about it though.

Hope that makes sense.

You don’t follow because u can’t read properly. I want marvel to finish infinity war arc and not hold off and move to another arc.

As for your suggestion of stealing the glove from thanos while he’s farming.. uhh yeah no. U do not understand thanos as a character then. Thanos doesn’t fall for trickery. He’s arguably the most intelligent and willey villain in Marvel. Mephisto was easily fooled by Thanos. So stealing his gauntlet is absolute nonsense.

What you failed to realize in the movie infinity war is that Thanos allowed everything to happen to him. He toyed and fooled with the Avengers practically the entire way.

Just watched it.

It was f**king excellent!!!

I loved the bit when Thor enters the battle scene with his new hammer, the score plays and shit just gets real.

Captain America and Black Panther sprinting into the battle was sick, too!

Spider-Man saying "have you seen the movie Aliens?" And the subsequent blow a hole in the ship plan was funny!

The sound effects were great, whenever Captain America punches a guy, you just feel it through the screen!

Great movie!
i watched it in a grand screen with monster subwoofers in seats. it was ridiculous.

This is The Dark Knight all over again.

When you want to like something you’re gonna find a way to like it regardless. Lol

lol what? Are you saying people only liked The Dark Knight and this movie because they wanted to? Come on man they are good movies that's why people liked them. If you don't like them that's fine but it doesn't mean everyone else is crazy and just forcing themselves to believe these movies are good.

The avengers should have called on GSP at some point. He’s in the marvel universe and could have armbarred Thanos while they were struggling the get the glove off. Movie over

The newest Star Wars was still terrible, regardless of your mental gymnastics.

And it was his plan!! That was seriously dumb. He already proved he was willing to kill Gamora to save the universe. Even if he's furious at Thanos, clearly the first step is taking his Gauntlet away. Then you can punch him all you want.
na it wasnt, he just took the credit for it(or thats how I viewed it)
