Absolutely never fails to put me in a good mood. Depressing as that movie was, i've been grooving to the Spinners all fucking day and grinning like an idiot.

see I was thinking that was where he went after snapping his fingers.... you know where he seen Gamorra as a kid. Made me think that maybe because he sacrificed Gamorra for the stone, that somehow her soul is inside the stone(just my personal theory though).

Everyone should know the rules by now. Anyone who keeps breaking them by posting spoilers too early deserves Dubs IMHO.

In fairness to them, it's my unofficial rules. I don't make any formal announcement in the thread title or in the OP because I didn't want to make a big deal out of it like in the Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead threads. Majority of you didn't seem to have a problem with the current set-up, so I just continued with it.

But Infinity War is turning out to be bigger than the other movie threads. Although the moratorium for spoiler box will be lifted in two days, how would you guys feel about a separate Infinity War spoiler thread where you guys don't have to put them in spoiler box. After two days, the threads will get merged. Or you're content with the current set-up?

GotG Vol. 3 is in 2020. I think the Infinity War story will be resolved in 2019's Avengers 4 and Gamora will be back by then.

Was black widow still there?
Most of the guardians were gone right? I think I remember Groot disappearing but Rocket was still around.
Can't remember if Nebula got ashed too.
Strange was gone too right?
I remember Black Panther going, but I think that one tribal leader dude and his sister was still alive?

Of course vision's body is still there so maybe they can turn him back on.

the time stone was essentially locked in a magic vault. If Strange tried to use it, he'd get killed and would still have it taken away.

So why not use it in the very beginning before Thanos & Co even showed up (like as the spaceship is arriving)? Or when he uses it in a very basic manner to "look" into the future, why not use it then to reverse time to right before Banner came crashing through his sanctum. He could have went back and assembled the Avengers so they'd all be there ready and waiting? Or at the very least he could have went back like a week prior to Thanos' arrival and told everyone to prepare and get ready.

It makes absolutely ZERO sense.

Even though just about everyone else has said this movie is relentless from beginning to end you say it's boring. That said this is the most positive review I've ever read from you lol. I've got even higher expectations now going into the movie.

It's like the Michael Bay Transformer movies. Those are fairly "relentless" from beginning to end, yet they are some of the most boring movies I've ever seen. I equate it to eating a bunch of empty calories, like donuts. You can get full on donuts but they offer nothing of nutritional value. This is like that.

Highest for a comic book movie and I think 4th or so highest ever. Could have those deets wrong tho.
I also read that the long run time meant slightly less showings than normal

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Scores Superhero-Best $39 Million in Thursday Previews

Disney and Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War earned $39 million in Thursday previews at the North-American box office, the best showing of any superhero film in history and the fourth-best preview gross of all time, not adjusting for inflation.

Infinity War is opening in most major territories around the globe timed to its U.S. release, excluding Russia (May 3) and China (May 11), and could approach $500 million worldwide by the end of Sunday. It's already earned a massive $95 million in its first two days, setting industry records in many territories.

In terms of superhero fare, The Dark Knight was the previous preview champ in North America ($30.6 million), followed by Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice ($27.7 million). More recently, fellow Marvel title Black Pantherdevoured $25.2 million in previews on its way to a $202 million domestic debut.

The two top preview gross films of all time are fellow Disney titles Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($57 million) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($45 million), followed by Warner Bros.' final installment in the Harry Potter series ($43.5 million).

Infinity War's Thursday night performance confirms it is going to be a box-office giant. It's tracking to open to $225 million-plus domestically, but most expect it to climb much higher. The superhero film even has a shot at passing up The Force Awakens ($248 million) to land the top North American opening in history.

The success of Disney and Marvel's Black Panther could be a huge boost for Infinity War. Black Panther has earned $681 million in North America to become the No. 3 film of all time behind Force Awakens ($936.7 million) and Avatar ($760.5 million). Globally, it has earned $1.325 billion to rest at No. 10 of the all-time biggest earners.

Overseas, Infinity War scored the biggest opening day in a slew of markets, including South Korea — where it has earned $11.4 million in its first two days.
