I don't agree. Movies can be evaluated with objective standards between all of them. This is how great movies can be separated from bad movies. People can like whatever movies they want to like regardless of their quality.

Was Abraham Lincoln assassinated in 1863? No, he was assassinated in 1865. That is a FACT! That is OBJECTIVELY true! Paris is the capital city of France. A FACT! OBJECTIVELY true! Harrison Ford is 75 years old. A FACT! OBJECTIVELY true! Inarguable. Indisputable. What is a fact, what is objectively true, cannot be disputed by anyone, ever, under any circumstance. There are NO OBJECTIVE standards when it comes to evaluating QUALITY! NONE! NEVER! And there NEVER will be! Quality is PURELY a matter of OPINION! OPINION, OPINION, and ONLY OPINION! NOTHING to do with FACT!

Saying you didn't enjoy it and trying to claim it's bad are two different things.

I would guess that its been somehow downgraded in power from the level were Thanos basically has control of the entire universe to a level were he can potentially be confronted to reverse its effects in the sequel

I voted excellent, but i gave it a 9.5/10 rating. It probably doesn't make sense, but that's what i'm going with.

Sure they can. Just like The Last Jedi is objectively a bad movie. Bad writing/story all over the place. Plot holes galore. I'm not saying people don't also evaluate movies subjectively as well. I'm just saying there is also an objective level to it. The best movies ever made are considered the best movies for multiple objective reasons.

The Room is objectively a very poorly made movie. How can anyone possibly argue with that statement?

I definitely want to rewatch it again before I make my decision but it's in my top 5 for sure

Let’s talk about Loki sacrificing himself and his decision to prevent Thor from being killed.

I am basically fine with it because they established in Thor 1 that he was the #2 man in Thor’s squad of warriors. They must have been palling around for a millennium. In Avengers 1 Thor kept asking Loki to switch back to his side and was willing to trust him based on their long background fighting together.

Loki has never shown any concern for human lives and I basically understand that: Thor is literally the only Asgardian who actually ever gives much of a shit about Earthling mortals. In his mind imo he thinks of himself as more mischievous than malevolent.

Loki’s motive from the start hasn’t been to screw with Thor for fun and on a more serious note to take the #1 spot in Asgard by displacing Thor or failing that establishing his own kingdom on Earth, likely in order to gain respect and prestige in Asgard.

So why risk his life to try to kill Thanos?

Well.
He would be more of a legendardy Warrior than his brother if he succeeded. And he probably figured Thanos wouldn’t accept him into his service anyway, after the debacle in New York. Thanks trusted him enough with an infinity stone and Loki didn’t deliver.

And Asgard just blew up - it was Loki’s fault in a lot of ways and he was probably shaken up and not thinking straight. It’s a lonely eternity for him if he can’t torture Thor/give him an occasional hug.

It was fairly out of character for Loki to make a move against Thanos but at the same time, it makes enough sense in context that I can forgive it.

Lets talk about Loki not using the Cosmic Cube to fight of Thanos & Co. after he curb stomped Thor, Heimdall, Korg, the remaining Asgardians, then trying to stab him... Glad Loki's dead either way. Hiddleston has overstayed his welcome imo

If something is OBJECTIVELY true, that means it is FACTUALLY true! An OPINION can NEVER be considered a FACT! LEARN what a fucking FACT is!
