It's on Netflix now. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I liked GOTG1 but wasn't quite as high on it as everyone else. GOTG2 though, I thought was just excellent. I like how they cast distinguished, experienced actors for these movies. Kurt Russell as Ego was great. Then Robert Redford in Winter Soldier, Glenn Close And John C oreilly in GOTG1, Brolin as Thanos etc.

How easy is it to forget that Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel plays Rocket Raccoon and Groot?

Maybe it's because he's doing a different voice or maybe because they aren't on the press tour, but the talent in these movies is crazy.

They could even say that the troll blacksmith intentionally made it that way to give somebody a chance of taking him out

Yeah I mean at that point it was basically do or die for Vision. He was in bad shape but Glaive took out Shuri and the guards and was coming for him.

I’m reminded of DC’s famous lines when Jon Jones said he would kill him if he were to spit in his face.

“You think I’m just going to sit there and let you kill me, Jon. I mean really.”

Vision wasn’t just going to lie there and let Glaive kill him.

What's so impressive to me was how they managed to elevate the superhero film without undermining it a la Logan, Deadpool, or even TDK.

It's a superpower, it doesn't have to be explained. Tony Stark was the one that carried the nuclear bomb into space, but does he inspire that type of loyalty? No. Why? It's not his superpower.

yeah he just basically gift wrapped the time stone to Thanos by not flying away.

Vision was just following what Cap said. It's Cap's fault that wasn't totally the rational thing to do.

I agree that the sound track for the first music has better songs, but the second movie uses them in a way that's more connected to the story.

So glad someone else is praising Guardians 2. Another good example of the music being connected to the story is Father and Son by Cat Stevens playing at the end.
