I love Cap 1. I thought it was just pretty good the first time I watched it but grew to appreciate it more and more with each viewing. There are still some things that I wished they would change or improve but overall, loved it and the whole old-timey 1940s setting.

Capt had the best solo movies imho. 1 was solid and Winter soldier is considered by many to be the best MCU movie. Civil War was good too but it's more of an Avengers movie than a true Capt movie even if it has Captain America in the title.

I'd rank Dr Strange and Iron Man 1 not too far behind

GOTG 1 > those all. 2 is a movie I find better, but can see some liking others more.

This could be true. I hated the first Captain America. Literally fell asleep during the movie. I saw someone post a marvel movie rankling list today and they had incredible hulk in dead last. There's no way the first Captain America movie is better than the Incredible Hulk movie just no fucking way. The scene with him at the university the first time around is better than anything in Captain America.

Hulk is so under rated, Emil Blonsky is an amazing villain and Edward Norton is great, the first 45 mins of that film is solid as fuck.

I hear Elizabeth Olsen is upset at Brie Larson taking the spotlight from the other MCU women and that she feels sidelined by being put on a tv show. She thought she would be getting a larger role in the future of the MCU and thinks Brie came in and took that from her.

The robot was shooting stuff left and right throughout the movie.

Finally, when an actual threat comes to both him and Hogarth (and the entire state of Maine) he decides to not shoot it down with his lasers, but to crash into it?

I read that too, and it makes sense. Olsen has been a part of the MCU since 2014(although that was just a Post Credits Scene)and has played a major role in Age of Ultron, Civil War and Infinity War. I thought her performance in IW was excellent. Wanda's final scenes with Vision are heartbreaking; forced to kill the man she loves, only for Thanos to make her watch while her sacrifice is rendered meaningless. And then see her lover killed again. Infinity War also gave us a look at Motivated Witch with That Look in her eye. She absolutely wrecks shit, slaughtering dozens of Outriders, destroying their machines and saving Widow's life by killing Proxima Midnight.

At one point she holds back Thanos, who's rocking five Infinity Stones, with one hand while killing Vision with other. With the exception of Thor very nearly getting the KO, that's arguably the most impressive individual display of power in the entire film by any of the heroes.

While not a bad movie overall I thought Tim Roth was woefully miscast as Blonsky. He just played it pretty much the same as everything I've ever seen him in, basically Tim Roth playing Tim Roth. It's kinda hard to buy an ex special forces baddass when he's played by a foppish, stoner-esque, limey who's about as intimidating looking as gonzo the muppet.
