As stated before, cap holding the gauntlet from being closed was thanos admiring his tenacity. Cap getting licks in is that hes trained vs hulk being a hulk. Thanos is trained too, but has matching enough-in-the-moment strength.

Dont forget, 1 punch took cap out whereas hulk took a beating.

If you watch the scene Stormbreaker takes out bad guys sure, but you think it can do more, have more reach. As it is flying around it can only shoot a little lightning here and there. When Thor jumps up and slams hammer down, the blast has like a 30yd radius. That weapon cut through an infinity gauntlet rainbow beam. It should be able to do more.

Again I am not sure if you are joking or not?

He slams the hammer down in the final scene of that video and clears an entire field of creatures. Have you seen Mjolnir do more?

When Eitri forged the hammer it was a weapon made specifically to beat Thanos by the only guy who would know what, if any, weaknesses Thanos with the Guantlet had and also the skill to exploit that. it would be like knowing that Yellow was a colour a Green Lantern ring was vulnerable to. That does not necessarily make Yellow powerful and perfect to use as a weapon everywhere. It means it is good for this specific task like Kryptonite is to Superman.

So Eitri designed a very powerful in its own right weapon, ...but that had one specific EXTRA feature, and that is it could exploit some vulnerability Thanos had to it.

My friend pointed out that previous to INFINITY WAR, Thanos rocked the gauntlet righty, and so that might be a different one from the one he's got in the film.

I thought he was just KO'd. It never crossed my mind that the punch killed him. I know it could but I thought that looked like a tempered punch to me. Just enough to disable Cap.

It killed him. If you look at the full scene, hulk buster was melded with the wall, war machine was crushed and BW was enclosed in rock. After the time jump everyone was walking around unscathed. Cap didn’t even show signs of the punch. He was dead yo.

There are weapons with big AoE damage and there are weapons with higher but more concentrated damage. Guess Stormbreaker belongs to the latter category.

I just got around to watching Infinity War again for the second time. I've always been a sucker for a good villain, and man..Thanos is so good.

It plays like he us his own protagonist in his own Origin Story. Not a full origin but we get a glimpse of his motivations and also his relationship with Gamora.

Infinity War is Thanos' movie. Literally; he has more screen time than any other character.

It plays like he us his own protagonist in his own Origin Story. Not a full origin but we get a glimpse of his motivations and also his relationship with Gamora.

I believe a novelisation of the movie will released before Christmas that goes into detail about Thanos' life on Titan, including how he was shunned for his horrific appearance, which is the result of Mutation.

I hadn’t thought of that, but I don’t see it being an issue.

He kills her and just goes about his day, he’s pretty hell bent on doing whatever it takes to get the snap in.

Maybe it will hit him harder than he had thought it would but I don’t see it.

I think it has to do with the gauntlet needing to be damaged to get the job done. We will see.

I bet they are pissed starlord took out his dad now. He would have been handy to have around.

I’m still so very confused how they mixed the power rankings around though.

Vision is one weak bastard now, just about every avenger takes on the aliens better, in civil war they had to get Wanda to get him out of the way because he was more powerful than all of them combined, yet he becomes the weakest one? The fuck?

And why didn’t strange just warp thanos hand and gaulet to another dimension portal and have it pop out behind them?

He was popping portals left and right to get hero’s to hit him, surely he could have popped one around his arm? Or head for that matter?

The hulk being so weak is weird.

Corvus sucker-punched Vision right at the start of their fight, and he never fully recovered from the damage the glaive inflicted on him.

I doubt it will happen, though. There will already be enough characters in A4 without bringing another one back who isn't really needed to advance the plot. No matter how cool he is.
