Ive watched infinity war a few times now. I love it. But the more I watch it, i wonder if they've written themselves into a hole. I wonder if the solution to the problem (thanos snap) that we will get will either be very obvious and expected, or very outlandish with frail beleivability.

Yeah such a well-realized character in all facets.

Brolin's voice work was terrific as well. His delivery of some lines is awesome. When Tony asks, "you know me?" the nuanced way he says, "I do," stands out to me every time.

When I 1st seen Thanos in the GOG I was worried his voice seemed weak especialy compared to Ronans
 
I'm re-watching Age of Ultron on BluRay and really wished the lame Black Widow/Hulk romance was left to deleted scenes. So cringeworthy. I still wished they got a prettier actress for Black Widow.

I feel like Age of Ultron was one of the shittier Avengers movies.

It definitely showcases Whedon as a deficient director. The romance elements they didn't include were gut wrenchingly bad, but yeah all that beauty and the beast cliche should have been booted.

Well it is, stated plainly, the worst Avengers movie (but that's mainly because Avengers, Civil War, and, particularly, Infinity War are extremely entertaining, awesome movies). I'd put all three in my top 5 MCU films. Age of Ultron is still good and not near the bottom of my list for MCU, but it's definitely the weakest Avengers film.

Hulk/BW stuff felt so contrived. It also went nowhere. Infinity War seemed willing to acknowledge it in passing, give Sam a quick joke regarding it, and then move on.

Ulton also happens to be an weird villain because his powers are vast yet he never comes across as particularly intimidating. Still, Spader's voicework is fun and, at times, funny. I particularly enjoy the moment where he flips out on Klaue, slices his arm, and then quickly apologetically is like, "Oh. Oh. I'm sorry about that. I'm sure that will be okay.." bwahaha. Seriously laughed aloud on the recent re-watch at that part. And then he turns on a dime again, "Don't compare me to Stark!" and kicks him down the stairs.

I think they did a really solid job actually of playing up his antipathy for his creator as one of the hallmarks of his character.

I also found it hilarious when Pietro and Wanda bail on him after realizing what he plans to do and he is very flustered, saying- "Wait guys" and then stammering over his words like he doesn't know what else to say to try to get them back (even more funny that they are long gone by the time he utters this since Quicksilver jetted them out of there).
 
The thing I noticed when I last watched Age of Ultron was that Ultron seemed to have an overbite.

To me, the dialog writing sucked. The lame shit they made the characters say like Cap's anti-potty mouth scolding, War Machine's lame party story, Black Widow/Hulk flirting. Takes a lot of ego to write garbage and be proud of it.

Seems like it was Blunt, Portman, Alba, Biel, and maybe Jolie. Blunt had to reject the role due to scheduling, while the others lost to ScarJo.

Chastain would have been my preference, but def not the Whedon model. Olivia Wilde could have worked with that material, but Chastain is too good and kinda too close to Captain America to be a third banana love interest.

Yea I rewatched all the movies before IW and I didn't think Ultron was that bad. Honestly my only issue with it was that Ultron didn't feel all that powerful or threatening.

The romance between Hulk and Widow I see people didn't like. I didn't mind it at all, certainly didn't think there was anything cringe about it because they didn't even focus on it that much. The characters had maybe 5 mins of dialogue about it over the movie if that.

That's like saying a few teaspoons of involuntary diarrhea in your pants wasn't that bad.

Also, Emily Blunt's face is much more appealing than ScarJo alien face in bad mood.

Blunt actually accepted the role, but when she got the contract/shooting dates/etc, she was unable to ( was filming gullivers travels movie).. then the role was given to their #2 pick Scarlett Johansson
They even offered her the role for peggy carter, but she turned that down too

It was forced as hell and Whedon nearly destroyed the character. The Russos did a much better job with the Widow character and Scarlett has shined under their direction.

ScarJo was darn sexy in the beginning





 
So Thanos got close enough to sniff Rey's ass huh, but couldn't quite get there. All those Marvel characters in one movie and still can't catch Rey, ain't that right @Clippy? TFA "snaps" "Infinity War"!
