If that is Old man Cap that is some 4D chess level foreplanning and continuity sh*t.

I think we need @Dragonlordxxxxx , @Anung Un Rama, @Loiosh, @PRIDEWASBETTER , @KnightTemplar and any other comic movie nerds to GTHIH and weigh in.

Nerds Assemble!:D

I watched Peggy's funeral scene a couple of times now, and it certainly does look like Old Cap from behind, although we never see his face from the front. Obviously, the fact he's a pallbearer means he had to have been a close member of Peggy's family. And the MCU has previous for this kind of thing: it's confirmed the young kid Tony saves from the drone robot in Iron Man 2 is Peter Parker.

The russos have been mum on the question as to if cap had been in the timeline this whole time.

I always thought that was the case due to the fact old man cap wasn't wearing a suit which meant he never time jumped to get back. He just showed up.

They could have used any actor to fill the pallbearer roles and every other pallbearer was someone young and undistinguishable.

Its a theory of course but the russos did direct civil war and this is certainly a coincedence.

My guess is it will be left open ended, basically people can believe what they want to.

Sure seems to bear a strong resemblance to him, doesn't it? And he just so happens to be as far opposite of young cap as he can be.
Huh. Where, at the end standing?

Looks like a man with grey hair.

Marvel actually made "old man makeup" work as well and I think the key was they didn't try to make him look doddering or foolish ala say Guy Pearce in Prometheus rather actually having some Eastwood like dignity to him.

We gettin' re-released with extra footage, buds
Suck it, Avatar. Your reign is over.

From an article:

Perhaps the best part about this is that not only is Endgame heading back to theaters, but it’ll be doing so with brand new scenes that weren’t included the first time around. From what we understand, there’ll be deleted footage that didn’t make it into the initial cut and also a few surprises after the credits. What those will be, we can’t say for sure, but this is hugely exciting news regardless.
