None of you guys cleared anything up lol. Maybe I missed something as I had my 5 year old daughter beside me...
I thought mine was pretty conclusive tbh. Dunno what more you want.

Hee hee. I meant that since Tony created this glove he would have coded-in all manners of control that would not be present with an Eitri-created glove.

That makes sense. My mate at work is a comic book nerd and said Iron man is so far from the comics it's stupid. Iron man in the comics is weak as shit and always fucks up. She also said that if Iron man saved the day/wore the gauntlet she would die of cringe. I guess she called it.

I never read comics. I thought the movies were cool. Captain America had by far the best solo movies. Iron man is the MCU mascot so obviously he would play a vital part. Was sad to see both go.

Just got back from watching.... it was mostly wow but of course i had minor problems with a lot of things.

1. Hulk never got to throw down. they kinda nerfed him
2. They technically nerfed Thor as well cause he got old and lazy so he wasn't as sharp? Not sure if that TRULY affected his battle capabilities
3. When the heroes came back for the epic battle i really wanted more of that. If that movie had run another 20 minutes and its all from the final battle then i wouldn't have minded at all. i wanted to see they wreck even more shit as others here have stated.
4. so half of the population aged 5 years compared to the other half.. that's a huge plot hole of issues for any movie that needs to follow this.. shit like how gamora is no longer on guardians of the galaxy for example..? or will they match her up with Adam Warlock to make Quill insanely jealous? Half of Peter Parker's school has long graduated and should be gone already right?
5. I feel as though they could have brought Vision back too but they didn't. That was a bit disappointing.

There's more but that's all i can think for now.

It's still a 10/10 for me because they settled a lot of issues and this is a true "end" to the MCU old guard it seems...

Great movie. Can someone explain to me how Iron man was able to switch gauntlets with Thanos?
Quite sure he didnt switch gloves but only had his glove "absorb" the gems into his own glove. Might be wrong though.

I legit think it was magic; I don't see any other way Tony could have gotten the stones, but if you think about this even a little bit the whole story comes apart

Comic book Tony = Batman with prep-time. This is cinematically represented by his running a million model test-runs and his secrecy from even his teammates and loved ones. He is in stark, fnarr fnarr, contrast to the X-men, who are pretty much compose a reactionary gang. I don't really know much about comic book Tony besides that, but I would assume his main failing is succumbing to temptation/addiction. That's where the dramatic tension lay in the pages of IRON MAN.

I love the theory of an up-and-running 2014 Gamorra because 1) what Mags said and 2) it brings us back to superior dynamic wherein she and Quill are not yet all lovey-dovey.

Decent movie but I did not like the way Thanos was killed. Could have been more violent IMO (like the first time).

Agreed. I can see how they wrote in plenty of banter to hammer home how much Thanos needed to realize his loss -- but the whole, "I'm going to enjoy this," took the steam out of my sails. When Thanos wins he's godlike, but when he loses he's so chumpified. Loser Thanos was never my friend.

THANOS QUEST > INFINITY GAUNTLET too.

When they put the stones in the glove when they're making it the nano machines part to accept the stones. So I think the nano machines just transferred them over to Tony. Though I think there should have been a few more characters involved in the whole Time Machine/New Gauntlet creation phase. It's kind of annoying that Tony's the smartest guy in the universe.

And didn't Nebula make a joke about her and Peter Quill hooking up saying something like 'ya it was him or the tree'?

Saw it last night. It was pretty great. Wasn't expecting a heist movie feel,.but i thought it was very.clever. another three hours of shit exploding would have been too much. Lots of great emotional beats.

I also enjoyed the time travel bits, and seeing them interact with themselves from earlier films. Very creative and something they had to he thinking about years in advance.

Tony making the big sacrifice play and completing that arc from self centered jerk to martyr, and cap going back in time to live a normal life were both great. The cap stuff almost made me tear up.

There's always been a wistful sadness to the character. Stuck out of time representing values that a lot of people think are dead. He got to be that beacon of hope for everyone,.but he still got to go back and live out his original life. Don't think I've ever seen that ending for the character before outside of house of M.

Was a bit bittersweet at the end that vision, natasha, thors parents, loki, etc all stayed dead. For now anyway. Really makes it feel like there were longterm consequences to the battle.

Some of the time travel interactions like the sorceress and hulk were very well done as well. So much of this movie was about who these characters are as people, rather than just watching them punch things. A very fitting send off imo, with just minor issues that probably come down to personal preference.

9.5/10.

I would love Avengers vs Xmen next:

Iron man (RIP) vs Magneto: lol. Imagine
Hulk vs Wolverine, Juggernaut, Prof X all intriguing
Scarlett Witch vs Phoenix
Thor vs Storm
Captain America 2 vs Cyclops
Captain America (weapon 1) vs Wolverine (weapon X)

Etc. Make it happen

So they teleported?
