Australia is a weird place. This is coming from an Australian. Beach and Bogan culture is probably what we are known for but it’s a much smaller % than foreigners will realise. Being said I know countless Aussies who’ve played it up for a laugh when overseas even though that is not who they are at home.
We’re very much like the states in that there’s a lot of difference between States. Far North Queensland and Melbourne would be as similar as San Francisco and Mobile, Alabama. Australia just doesn’t have the American patriotism that sort of binds all the US together.
Most Aussies would probably think our national identity is “Laid back” but it’s certainly not a universal trait.

The roar from the crowd was impressive. Their booing of Islam after the fight was low class, he embraced Australia, they should have embraced him back.
The interviews with people from the crowd were really cringey / embarrassing.
Mainstream mma fans tend to be idiots generally.. go to any UFC stadium event, and the people there aren't generally gonna be the kind of people I'd like to hang with.

Lots of people who got interested in MMA were interested in a variety martial arts. Most of which teach humility, respect and honour. You DONT have to be a “soyboy” to dislike this kind of childish behaviour, but you DO have to be an immature, low IQ person to enjoy it.
