Jack Encarnacao of Sherdog spoke with Josh Nason of WrestlingObserver/F4WOnline (Dave Meltzer's site) about the sale and had interesting news.
The audio is behind a paywall, but I enclosed a snippet

Also, WME signed Chris Weidman as well. They see star potential in him.

But the most interesting (to me) was Ari (WME) was involved in getting the UFC/Fox deal done and that Ari is Dana's agent for projects outside of MMA.

So ... its a pretty good guess that this is not a temporary situation with Dana & that the new owners obviously like the way he works!

Good job again Hellfrankie. Does this mean chances of an Unleashed Dana White again are gone?

Thanks buddy
I think the biggest take away we van get from this news is that:
  • The new owners love Dana & what he does
  • They will be trying to make UFC more mainstream in Hollywood
&
  • That Dana haters will really be pissed off

;)

Mainstream in Hollywood. So more fighters being in doing some shitty acting in movies?

Weidman and Bisping had the same manager - maybe Weidman felt he wasn't pushing hard enough for him to get the next crack at the title.

MMA manager & Hollywood agent are two different things

I know someone cleared it up on the MMA hour on how this isn't a conflict of interest, but I don't see it. How is it not again?

You're talking about basic business ethics, unless they are filing with the SEC private companies have a shit ton more leeway than public ones.

WME is a minority owner. The real power will be in China. So who cares. In China this is how everything works. If you don't have a family member or a close friend on the deal it does not get done.

None of that is true
There is no Chinese involvement & WME is majority owner

Excuse my ignorance, but who is the Chinese company that has majority ownership?
