So I'm watching this all drunk and thinking: all her shits bullshit. I mean. I ain't above saying Ronda Rousey could probably beat my ass but I just don't see her doing all this crazy shit.

She is like 110 soaking wet and even mad skillz sometimes don't equate to sheer size and muscle overpowerment. This is especially timely with all the rah rah women can do anything shit going on now. Bitches. Leave. You can't fight (Men) and you can't join the Rangers. FFS.

Look I know there is always exceptions to the rule, but do any of you take badass james bond Ethan hunt chicks seriously?

The fight choreography is especially ridiculous in that movie, but I still enjoyed it.

Bruh, they've been making movies with 110 lb girls beating up Brock Lesnar dopplegangers for decades, where you been?!

This movie is nothing new and won't be the last.

Yeah, this stuff irritates the hell out of me. There's a difference between watching a high level 115 lbs fight and seeing a model destroying 200+ lbs men who are supposed to be capable of fighting. Lady Snowblood is cool, swords make dexterity and agility important, but watch little girls manhandle men in a fistfight is just too much for me to ever invest in.

For some reason the movie Chocolate never bothered me though. I guess they did enough to explain her character and she's fighting guys reasonably close to her size.

I know but this one got on my nerves in a big way. She probably beats more ass,in this than other chick fight flicks

And like that new movie with the bug eyed chick, why would you make a weaponized machine look like a little girl? Don't even tell me it's to blend in and lower guards, no one is blending in with eyeballs like that.

I am hoping to watch it too, thanks for the heads up though.

I think if a girl is gonna beat guys silly, at least give them magical powers on some Supergirl shit or something.

Even shows like Vikings, or Into the Badlands, I know if the guys are trained as much as the women, the women should lose everytime (which is why there are no women in the Men's UFC divisions). If it's an expert fighter against an untrained man, then that is a bit more realistic.

Look I'm not trying to be anti-woman power or anything here but its the same thing I said in another thread. There are just some things men do better. Or perhaps because of the culture surrounding it have a better track record.

Like I said in a previous post. I was sent a DOD letter about whether i think women should be in the Infantry. NO!!!!! Jesus.

Lol remember this?

Never watch arrow. Not only is it a show for 13 year old horny girls but theres like a 90 pound girl who trains for like 6 months ever in her life then all the sudden she's throwing 200 pound dudes over her head. That's just one example.

Having grown up with prime Jet Li and Jacky Chan films like Once Upon a Time in China and The Drunken Master, I find it impossible to take an overwhelming majority of fight scenes seriously or be impressed by them.

The athleticism and technical prowess displayed in those old films just isn't there anymore. Tony Jaa had a good run but he was more representative of a particular style that people that people wanted to see than purely talented.

Most American film fight scenes are more about posturing, one liners mid combat and displays of strength. No bueno.

I turned this movie on the other day right as she was nekkid getting into a bathtub. Great movie!

I do have to admit though. I met this badass MP chick in Iraq who towered over me that was 200lbs all muscle and a shaved head. They called her Mother. It was short for something and not motherly. She could wield a 240 bravo one handed. Right hand to God.

If you are gonna bring up unrealistic examples of Hollywood action scenes, there are many examples before Theron where untrained man could throw the weakest punch and knock people out for plot reasons. In Hollywood, goon level bad guys have been extremely easy to KO or kill and protagonists are indestructible for ages, you don't need a woman protagonist to see that.

The re-enactment starts at 2:30

Well this is where you cross the line.

Men are not doing the action scenes better, you/we just suspend your belief for a man because you/we are a man and you/we want to believe.

Men are not doing the stuff in modern action movies either, but you suspend your belief anyway. You just struggle to do so with a woman lead.
